LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rihanna, the renowned 'Umbrella' singer and mother of two, recently opened up about her life as a ‘boy mom’ and how her sons have brought a new sense of purpose to every aspect of her life.

She shared her experiences of motherhood and how it has influenced her career decisions in an interview with E! News.

“Everything has to be intentional, and everything has to be worth it—especially when it takes me away from them,” she explained during the launch of Fenty Beauty’s Soft’Lit Naturally Luminous Longwear Foundation on April 26.

The 'Diamonds' singer, who was sporting her new blonde hair, explained how she picks and chooses her work, especially attending the latest Fenty beauty event.

“They’ve got to eat, for one, so I’ve got to work,” she joked, adding, “This is totally worth it. This is the biggest launch we’ve had since we launched this brand in 2017.”

Rihanna embraces feminity more now

In her home, she’s the only girl in the world. “It makes me feel really cool to be a boy mom,” she added.

“I get to be as casual and busted as I want to, but it also forces me to embrace the epic things about being a woman and female and all my femininity—I embrace it so much more now,” she added.

While Rihanna is shining bright like a diamond in her house of boys, she has previously teased plans for a daughter in the future.

“So far, have daughters,” she shared with the publication in December 2023 as one thing she hopes to achieve that she hasn’t yet.

“I’m batting at 75 percent for a boy next time,” she added. “So, we’ll just keep our fingers crossed.”

Rihanna's plans for music album

Rihanna also revealed her plans to make a new album worth the wait. “It’s gonna be amazing,” she said of what’s to come from her as an artist to Extra.

“It has to be — that is the only reason it’s not out yet. If I’m not feeling it and I’m not feeling like it represents the evolution, the time I spent away …There should be a show of growth, right?” she added.

“I want to play, and I feel like music is a playground, and I want to have fun with it and show truly where I am at,” Rihanna said, adding that she only intends to collaborate with another artist if it’s “very intentional. I’ll know when I have the record.”

Just a week and a half ago Rihanna stated, “I already got stuff that I feel like I could make hits out of.” She referred to her work in progress as “so good.”
