Robert De Niro, 81, shares rare glimpse into parenting his 20-month-old daughter Gia: 'I want to keep up'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Robert De Niro gave a rare insight into parenting his 20-month-old daughter Gia.
The 81-year-old actor's youngest child is Gia, who he shares with his martial artist partner, 45-year-old Tiffany Chen. They welcomed Gia in May 2023.
Robert De Niro rarely finds time to watch films of his choice
Robert De Niro admitted he is now a fan of children’s television as he no longer has time to watch films.
“I don’t watch as many movies as I should, I try to watch films especially that I’m to,” he told BBC Radio 2 presenter Scott Mills on Thursday, February 20.
“I just want to keep up, but I watch current events if you will news stuff like that. Now I watch with my little girl, The Wiggles and Ms Rachel," the 'Irishman' added.
Scott then asked De Niro, "Do you know about Bluey?"
"I’ll look up, I’ll look for them," he replied according to Daily Mail.

Scott requested someone to note it for Robert De Niro saying, "Please will someone write this down because this might change your life in terms of attention span."
"Do you know what I'm saying? Bluey and Hey Duggee," he asked again.
De Niro replied, "The Wiggles and Ms Rachel I didn't know of them until I started seeing them and my daughter loves to watch them. But they’re great!"
In January, the 'Taxi Driver' actor triggered backlash when he told The Sunday Times he does not change daughter Gia's diapers. “No, no, but I used to," he said.
He then shared about spending time with his daughter Gia: "I'm an early riser. I've got a 19-month-old baby."
"I spend my mornings watching [the YouTuber for toddlers] Ms Rachel with her, and I give her her bottle,” he added.
Robert added: "Family is so complex. I try my best (as a father), that's all. I hope they'll be happy."
Robert De Niro's six other children
In addition to Gia, Robert De Niro is the father of six other children from previous relationships.
The actor and his first wife, Diahnne Abbott, share one daughter, Drena, 57, and one son, Raphael, 48. In 1995, he welcomed his twins, Julian and Aaron, 29, with ex-girlfriend Toukie Smith.
He also shares his 26-year-old son, Elliot, and 12-year-old daughter, Helen Grace, with ex-wife Grace Hightower.
Back in February Robert gushed about the newest addition to his family, Gia, and the joy she brings him.
"She's such an adorable baby. So sweet," he said, adding, "[When I] look at her, everything else goes away. So it's a great joy and relief to just be with her in the moment."
He also said that his other children, "all get a big kick out of her."
"The grandkids even. She's their aunt— [and] they're about to be teenagers!" he added.
