'In my Swiftie era': Tennis star Roger Federer fanboys over Taylor Swift as he shares selfie with singer

ZURICH, SWITZERLAND: Roger Federer has officially entered his "Swiftie era". The retired tennis legend shared a backstage selfie with Taylor Swift after attending her 'Eras Tour' stop in Zurich, Switzerland, on Monday, July 8.

Federer, 42, posted the photo on Instagram on Wednesday, July 10, captioning it with a series of emojis that reference Swift's music and tour, “In my Swiftie era."

In the selfie, Federer is seen wearing a VIP lanyard, while Swift is dressed in the glittering blue bodysuit from her 'Midnights' era performance.

Fans took to the comments section of Federer's post and expressed their excitement to see the two icons together. One fan commented, “The king living his best life," while another wrote, "When a King of tennis, meets a Queen of music."

One person wrote, “Two of my most fave performers - On court and on stage!"

Another said, “ I say remember this moment in the back of my mind." 

Federer was seen at the concert with his wife Mirka, and their four children -- twin girls Myla and Charlene, 15, and twin boys Leo and Lenny, 10. 

An Eras Tour fan account on X (formerly Twitter) shared photos of the couple enjoying the concert and Federer's impressive collection of friendship bracelets, which included titles of Swift’s songs such as 'Anti-Hero', 'Champagne Problems', and 'Wildest Dreams'.

In the following day's Instagram Stories, the proud dad showed off the dozens of friendship bracelets on his wrist.

Roger Federer wanted to see Taylor Swift live with his children

Back in June, the dad of four told PEOPLE that seeing Swift in concert with his children was a goal for him this summer.

"We went to a lot of concerts last year," he said, noting that it was so fun to get on stage with Coldplay at their Zurich show last summer.

"I didn't sing, I just played a little shaker thing," he said with a laugh. "But we also saw (Bruce) Springsteen twice, and Elton John. This summer Taylor Swift is coming to Switzerland so of course we'll go to that, and ACDC too."
