WASHINGTON, DC: Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson said Friday, October 10, “there is no big deal here,” when asked about President Donald Trump's second trip to Walter Reed Medical Center since April.
During an interview with Newsmax, Jackson provided an update on Trump’s health, describing the president’s visit to the medical center as a “routine check-up.” He also noted that the trip was related to Trump’s chronic venous insufficiency and that he received several routine vaccinations.

Donald Trump’s former physician, Ronny Jackson, spoke to Newsmax about the president’s health, addressing what the White House described as a “routine yearly check-up,” despite it being Trump’s second visit to the military hospital since April.
“This was a follow-up visit from his annual physical,” Jackson emphasized. “They were doing some follow-up on his venous issue. He had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, so there was a vascular study done. They were just looking to follow up — that was recommended.”
Jackson continued, “He’s a machine, he’s non-stop, and his endurance is incredible. Let me reassure the American people right now, as his former physician who also stays in touch with the current medical team — there is nothing wrong with President Trump. He is in great physical condition, and this was nothing but a follow-up from his annual physical exam in April.”

He added, “People are making a big deal out of this. He’s in phenomenal shape. He got his vaccines that he’s due for right now, especially with some of his upcoming travels."
What the White House revealed earlier about Donald Trump’s health
In July, the White House announced that Trump had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition that causes blood to pool in the legs and is common among older adults. This condition has been reflected in Trump’s frequently noticed swollen ankles.
Trump has also been seen with bruising on his right hand, which the White House said was not a cause for concern. “This is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regime,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told The Daily Beast.
Referring to a memo shared with the outlet, the White House cited physician Barbabella’s statement that Trump’s “cardiac age” is approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age. The memo also confirmed that Trump received a COVID-19 booster.

“He got all of his travel vaccines updated,” Jackson added about Trump’s check-up on Friday, later mentioning that the president also visited the hospital to speak with troops. Jackson emphasized that Trump “couldn’t be healthier” and that his “endurance is incredible.”
