JUPITER, FLORIDA: Golf sensation Rory McIlroy and his wife Erica Stoll have called off their divorce after seven years of marriage, People reports.
This was confirmed when McIlroy's attorney filed a notice of voluntary dismissal on behalf of the golfer in Palm Beach County Court, following McIlroy's initial divorce filing on May 13. McIlroy and Stoll were married at Ashford Castle in Ireland in 2017, after beginning their relationship in 2014. Stoll and McIlroy have one daughter, Poppy who was born in 2020.

After McIlroy's attorney submitted a notice of voluntary dismissal of divorce, he addressed rumors swirling around his personal life on June 11. Mcllroy claimed, “There have been rumors about my personal life recently, which is unfortunate. Responding to each rumor is a fool’s game,"
He further added, “Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realized that our best future was as a family together. Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning.”
McIlroy also discussed his career and his ambition to secure a fifth major title. He has previously won the 2011 US Open, the 2012 PGA Championship, the 2014 Open Championship, and the 2014 PGA Championship.
“I’m really proud of my body of work over the past 15 years and everything that I have achieved, whether it be season-long titles or individual tournaments or majors,” McIlroy said. “Obviously getting my hands on a fifth major has taken quite a while, but I’m more confident than ever that I’m right there, that I’m as close as I’ve ever been," he added.
