Ruby Rose recalls 5-year bond with 'best friend' Hayden Panettiere: 'We had everything in common'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ruby Rose can't forget about Hayden Panettiere. During a recent interview, she recalled their five-year-long friendship and the bond they shared.
Rose called Panettiere her “best friend” and even shared that they “spoke every day” for five years. Well, this is not the first time Rose has talked about the 'Heroes' actress. She previously shared a couple of Instagram posts about the late actress.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Rose couldn’t hold back her tears when she was asked about Panettiere. She recalled how their friendship began. “I didn’t even think we were gonna be friends. I didn’t know if I wanted to have any celebrity friends, ’cause I didn’t have a great experience with the industry.”

“I saw her, she saw me, and I just remember thinking, ‘Oh, no.’ And then she ran up anyway and was like, ‘Hey, I’m Hayden. Can we go talk somewhere? We’ve got a lot in common.’ I just laughed.” “I was like, ‘What?’ She says (that) I said, ‘I don’t think so,’ but I think I just laughed,” Rose, 40, recalled. “And then we went and talked, and we had everything in common.”
“Five years of friendship, texting every day and checking in on each other,” Rose said. “Hayden, all that she ever wanted was to have her story told, her way, on her terms,” Rose said about her late friend, Panettiere.

The 'Ice Princess' actress died on August 16 at the young age of 36 of an apparent overdose. As per PEOPLE, an investigation remains ongoing. A source shared with the publication that the toxicology results are still “pending.”
“Recent reports attributed to unnamed sources are unverified hearsay and have attributed to conflicting information that continues to circulate,” the statement said. “While we are all eager to find closure and better understand the circumstances surrounding her passing, we must remain patient and allow the investigative process to unfold. The answers we are all seeking will come.”
Now, for those who are unaware, Panettiere’s death sent shockwaves across Hollywood. When she died, her boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, was with her. In an August 20 statement, Sloan Ellis, Hickerson’s lawyer, said, “Hayden’s death remains under investigation, and it is important to allow that investigation to proceed.”
“As has been publicly reported, police confirmed there were no signs of foul play. Out of respect for Hayden’s loved ones and the ongoing investigation, there will be no further comment at this time,” he added.
