Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively trolled over their fourth child's Nordic choice of name
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After making fans wait for months, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively finally revealed their fourth child’s name!
However, the proud parents have come under mockery for their fourth child's name's Nordic origins.
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively named their fourth child 'Olin'
During the world premiere of Ryan Reynolds' latest flick, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, the 47-year-old cheekily name dropped ‘Olin’ at the David H Koch Theater in New York City on July 22.
"I want to start by saying thank you to my wife, Blake, who is here. I want to thank my kids, James, Inez, Betty, and Olin, who are here," he addressed the crowd.
The actor further talked about his family, "I hope that, if I’m lucky, this moment will be the most traumatic thing — that is, the contents of this movie — that happens in your wondrous life. I love that my entire family is here."
Fans quickly looked up to find the significance of the name "Olin," which is of Nordic origin and means ancestor's heir or inherit.
Culturally, it is mostly a name of boys, but many found the moniker unusual, reported Radar Online.
According to Vogue, Lively revealed her fourth pregnancy on the red carpet in September 2022 at the 10th Annual Forbes Power Women's Summit in New York City.
As for the couple's relationship, they initially crossed paths in 2010 while filming 'Green Lantern', beginning their relationship in October 2011.
The couple married on September 9, 2012, in South Carolina.
