'She won me over': Travis Kelce spills the beans on why he fell in love with Taylor Swift
KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Travis Kelce opened up about his relationship with Taylor Swift, whom he has been dating for nearly a year in a recent episode of the 'Bussin’ With the Boys' podcast.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Kelce discussed his strategy for talking about Swift in interviews and shared the qualities that won him over during their early days of dating.

While discussing Swift in the media, he said, “Yeah, you want to keep things private but at the same time, I’m not here to hide anything. Like that’s my girl. You know what I mean? That’s my lady so it’s like I’m proud of that so I’m not here trying to juggle how can I keep this under wraps."
He added, "You just don’t want to let everybody into your personal life and be able to comment on it, knowing that everything she does is getting a headline.”

He admitted that the most challenging aspect of dating someone with her level of fame has been dealing with the intrusive paparazzi attention.
“I’ve had fun with just about every aspect of it. It’s just when you’re at home, you want privacy, and you don’t always get that.”
Kelce also spoke warmly about Swift, noting how considerate she has been in allowing him to have his moments, such as enjoying the spotlight after winning the Super Bowl.
“She’s very self-aware,” he said. “She understands situations like that. I think that’s why I started to fall for her, was how genuine she is around friends and family. It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention, and she just keeps it so chill and so cool. And that’s what I can admire for sure.”

Taylor Swift has attended 13 of Kelce's Chiefs games this season, with her first appearance in a box at Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri on September 24, 2023, as per People.
The first Kansas City Chiefs game also changed the way Kelce viewed her.
“The first game she came to against the Bears I was like, ‘I can probably set you up with everything'. And she just walked right through the front door,” he said.
He then added, “There’s no going down, talking to security, making sure she gets to her [spot]. She was like, ‘I just want to be around family and friends and experience this with everybody'. She got beaucoup points for that. I was like, Damn, she’s in the madness. She wants to be a part of it. She wants to support me and do things like that. I was like, man, she won me over with that one.”
He also mentioned her concerts, describing them as “electric.”
“She’s having a great time up there,” he said. “So it’s like I can enjoy seeing her in her element, killing it onstage. I love the show. She has bangers."
Billboard reported that Travis started courting the singer either at the end of August or the very beginning of September 2023.
