Ryan Reynolds blocked Justin Baldoni on social media months before Blake Lively's lawsuit: Report
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ryan Reynolds reportedly blocked Justin Baldoni across social media months before Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against him.
Based on text message exchanges, Baldoni noticed in May that Reynolds blocked him and his production company Wayfarer Studios on Instagram, as per a report by Page Six. The conversation also showed that he was worried Lively would follow suit.
Report claims Ryan Reynolds blocked Baldoni on social media
As per the report, Justin Baldoni allegedly texted his publicist, "We should have a plan for if she does the same when [the] movie comes out. Just want you guys to have a plan. Plans make me feel more at ease."
The report further claimed that it does not appear that Lively blocked her former co-star as he still follows her on Instagram. However, she does not follow him back.
Notably, Lively's complaint accused Baldoni of disturbing behavior that allegedly caused her to feel so uncomfortable she set up an "all-hands" meeting during filming, according to the outlet.
In response to the complaint, Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios’ attorney, Bryan Freedman, told the outlet that Lively's "serious" allegations are "categorically false."
Freedman said, "These claims are completely false, outrageous, and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt and rehash a narrative in the media."
Moreover, Freedman also addressed past reports that Baldoni hired a crisis manager amid his and Lively’s feud, saying it was necessary to do so because the 'Gossip Girl' actress allegedly made "multiple demands" and threatened to not show up on set or promote the film if her "demands" were not met.
Justin Baldoni's alleged plan to 'bury' Blake Lively
The New York Times reported that private text messages, allegedly between Justin Baldoni and his publicists, appeared to show how Baldoni orchestrated a PR-driven smear campaign against Blake Lively after she accused him of inappropriate behavior on the film's set.
The outlet reported how Justin Baldoni contacted Jennifer Abel, the public relations head of his studio, and together, they brought in crisis management expert Melissa Nathan for the job.
Abel told Melissa Nathan in writing, "I think you guys need to be tough and show the strength of what you guys can do in these scenarios. He wants to feel like she can be buried."
Nathan replied, "We can’t write we will destroy her" but moments later, she added, "Imagine if a document saying all the things that he wants ends up in the wrong hands. You know we can bury anyone."
After a few days, Baldoni reportedly texted Abel a social media post of a celebrity's bullying behavior and added that this was what he needed.
According to the report, Melissa Nathan then floated proposals to hire contractors to dominate social media through "full social account take downs" by starting "threads of theories."
She added, "All of this will be most importantly untraceable."
Colleen Hoover supports Blake Lively amid her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni
Colleen Hoover, the author of 'It Ends With Us', publicly backed Blake Lively following recent controversies with Justin Baldoni and retaliation involving the film adaptation of her book.
She took to Instagram on Saturday, December 21, and praised in her now vanished story, "Blake Lively, you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive, and patient since the day we met. Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt."

Notably, the post also included a link to an article about the lawsuit Lively filed against Baldoni.
Lively told the New York Post, "I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted."
