Ryan Reynolds receives award amid legal battle with Justin Baldoni

Ryan Reynolds was honored in Canada even as he and his wife, actress Blake Lively, remain embroiled in a legal battle with 'It Ends With Us' director Justin Baldoni.
Lively has accused her co-star of harassment and fostering a hostile work environment during the filming of the 2024 movie. The 'Gossip Girl' star also alleged that Baldoni orchestrated a smear campaign against her.
In response, the 'Jane the Virgin' actor filed a $400 million countersuit, accusing both Lively and Reynolds of defamation.

Ryan Reynolds featured on TIME amid ongoing legal drama

Despite ongoing legal tensions, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively appeared relaxed and cheerful during the ceremony in Ottawa. Reynolds was seen waving and blowing kisses to attendees as he was honored with the Order of Canada.
Adding to his big week, Reynolds also appeared on the cover of TIME magazine in a write-up titled 'How Ryan Reynolds Rewrote the Script for Celebrity Entrepreneurs.'
In the profile, he candidly admitted, “I am people-pleasing by default, as is my wife, as are our first two children. The third was, you know, born flipping the bird. And the fourth is TBD.” He also acknowledged the toll of constant likability, noting, “Your boundaries can kind of melt and that’s not necessarily healthy.”

Still, while some praised his accomplishments, others focused more on his freshly dyed dark hair than his achievements.

Someone on X tweeted, “Yikes 😅.”
“That vile individual? Fantastic,” another one added.
