INDIO, CALIFORNIA: Sabrina Carpenter returned to the Coachella main stage as a headliner on Friday, April 10, night, delivering a standout performance that quickly became one of the most talked-about sets of the festival.

Before the show, there was online buzz about her viral “arrest” segment during ‘Juno,’ after a gossip tip sent to Deuxmoi suggested a surprise guest might appear, even naming Madonna as a possibility.

However, that did not happen. In a surprise twist, Carpenter dropped both her ‘Juno’ pose and “arrest” sequence. Instead, the segment featured a surprise voice cameo by actor Samuel L Jackson, adding a fun twist to the performance.

Carpenter performed a 21-song set, including hits like ‘Espresso,’ ‘House Tour,’ ‘Please Please Please,’ ‘Manchild,’ and ‘My Man on Willpower,’ among others.

Samuel L Jackson’s unexpected voice cameo in Sabrina Carpenter’s Coachella performance

Carpenter brought a fresh twist to her Coachella set by replacing the usual ‘Juno’ moment with a voice cameo from Jackson, who appeared as a “spiritual guide” during the performance.

Dressed in a black short outfit, Carpenter was seen starting a mock meditation session before striking a large bell. She says, “Have you ever tried?” and then rings the bell. Right after, Jackson’s voice plays over the stage, guiding the crowd through the moment.

He says, “Hello Coachella. This is your spiritual guide. I am here to take you on a journey of relaxation.” His voice continues, “breathe in all that dust and just breathe out.”  Then he adds, “now Sabrina sing,” before the performance transitions back into her set.

The segment ended as Carpenter continued her performance, turning the usual ‘Juno’ moment into a guided-break-style interlude.

In addition to Jackson's voice, Carpenter's Coachella set also saw in-person cameo appearances from Sam Elliot, Susan Sarandon, Corey Fogelmanis, and Will Ferrell.

What is the  ‘Juno’ moment at Sabrina Carpenter’s show?

‘Juno’ is a track from Carpenter's hit studio album ‘Short n’ Sweet,’ with the ‘Juno moment’ being a fan-made name for a playful sequence from her live concerts. The moment comes during the live performance of the second chorus of ‘Juno,’ and sees the pop star bending on stage and arching her back.

While the moment was not planned as something serious and appeared to be a natural, fun, and spontaneous movement on stage, it went immensely viral during the ‘Short n’ Sweet’ tour, becoming one of the most-talked-about parts of her concerts.

Fans took to TikTok, Instagram and X to share the clip of the segment, garnering hundreds of thousands of views. Over time, the segment garnered popularity as the ‘Juno moment,’ and became one of Carpenter's signature stage interactions.
