PENSACOLA, FLORIDA: Savannah Chrisley shed tears of joy as her three-year-long battle came to a happy end with her parents, Julie and Todd Chrisley, finally being released from prison.

The reality TV couple, who starred in the hit show ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ and several spin-offs, was released from their respective prisons on Wednesday, May 29, just a day after President Donald Trump signed a full pardon for them, according to Daily Mail.

They had been in prison since January 2023, serving up to 10 years for using fraudulent loans to defraud community banks in Georgia.

Their 2022 conviction also found them guilty of defrauding the IRS and committing tax evasion; Julie Chrisley was additionally convicted of obstruction of justice and wire fraud.

The 52-year-old Julie had been serving her seven-year prison sentence in Kentucky, while Todd, 56, was serving his 12-year sentence in Florida.

Early Wednesday evening, Todd was released from Federal Prison Camp Pensacola and was welcomed by his emotional daughter, Savannah.

Dressed in bright pink 'MAGA Barbie' attire, Savannah Chrisley lauded President Donald Trump as she waited outside prison to pick up her father, Todd Chrisley, for his early release.

“Honestly, this process has been absolutely insane,” she told a group of reporters outside the federal prison, according to a video obtained by TMZ.

"I am just so grateful that I am gonna leave here with my dad," she added before confirming that she and her brother, Grayson Chrisley, 19, separated so he could pick up their mother, Julie, from a different prison in Kentucky.

"President Trump signed the pardons at around 3 pm this afternoon and it's all due to President Trump, Alice Johnson, Ed Martin, all of them," she told the crowd, adding "They have truly just shown up and looked at [Todd and Julie's] case with a fine-tooth comb and they've seen the corruption."

Savannah stated that after her call with Trump, she came to her father's prison in Pensacola at 2 am on Wednesday and has been there ever since.

"I have not gone to sleep. I did not bring any clothes with me. I did not bring a toothbrush with me. I brought absolutely nothing with me," she revealed with a chuckle. "I'm just a daughter that wants to take my dad home with me."

Todd and Julie Chrisley in disbelief after Donald Trump's pardon

When asked about Todd and Julie Chrisley's responses to Donald Trump's pardon, Savannah Chrisley stated that the couple is still in complete disbelief. "They didn't believe it. [The pardon] literally came out of nowhere," she stated.

“As I said before, I was walking into the grocery store when I got the call from the president. I was just in such shock and such awe that the president himself called me and took the time to let me know that my family's coming back together,” she added.

Savannah said that her and Trump's whole correspondence was "on film" and that he had called to inform her that he was "reuniting [her] family".

“So, it was absolutely amazing. It truly was just a human-to-human interaction, and yes, he is our president, but he's also a person with a heart and who loves people well.”

“Over the last 24 hours, I've gotten so much love and so much hate. And I've had people say, 'Hmmm, I wonder what she had to do to get this pardon?' I didn't have to do anything,” the reality TV star gushed.

Savannah went on to say that since taking office, President Trump has offered all Americans "hope and a brighter future," not just her family.

“People like to say [Trump's] for the wealthy, for people who have campaigned for him [but] he has truly given everyone a chance at a better life and for that I will forever be grateful,” she stated.
