Savannah Chrisley overwhelmed with joy as Donald Trump pardons her parents
Savannah Chrisley took to Instagram Live to share her overwhelming relief and gratitude after learning her parents had been granted a full pardon. Fighting back tears, Savannah, 27, announced the unexpected news to her followers. “Both my parents are coming home,” she said. “I could not be more grateful.”
“I have shed so many tears,” she shared. “The president called me personally as I was walking into Sam's Club and notified me that he was signing pardon paperwork for both of my parents. So, both my parents are coming home tonight or tomorrow. I still don't believe it's real. I'm freaking out.”
“My parents get to start their lives over! My phone is going bananas right now, but President Trump gave them a full, unconditional pardon and for that, I am forever grateful. Thank you, President Trump.”
In a follow-up statement, the 27-year-old reflected on the long road to this moment. “For the past two and a half years, I’ve done everything in my power to fight for my parents’ freedom and bring them home. This moment is the answer to countless prayers, and I am beyond grateful to President Trump for seeing the truth and restoring my family,” she said.
She emphasized that the decision was based on facts, not favors. “This administration does not hand out favors. It examines the facts and stands up for what is right. I also want to thank Alice Marie Johnson for her unwavering support and our attorney, Alex Little, for being an essential part of this process.”

While the family is still absorbing the news, preparations are already underway at home. “We’re getting their room ready upstairs,” Savannah said. She shared that they’ve been busy gathering clothes and setting up a room upstairs for her parents' return.
“I'm just speechless,” she said, visibly emotional. “I just can't thank you guys enough for sticking with my family and loving us and supporting us... It still doesn't feel real. It doesn't. I'm freaking out, so I'm going to go and prepare to pick up my parents.”
She wrapped up her video with a smile, saying, “It's time to go get mom and dad.”

The Chrisleys had been serving time following their 2022 convictions for tax evasion and bank fraud. Todd was sentenced to 12 years and Julie to 7. While parts of their appeals were considered, their sentences were only slightly reduced in 2023.
In the call captured and shared by Savannah, Trump expressed sympathy for the couple’s legal ordeal. “Your parents were given a pretty harsh treatment,” the president said. “It’s a terrible thing, but it’s a great thing, because your parents are going to be free and clean. I hope we can do it by tomorrow... I don't know them, but give them my regards and wish them a good luck,” he added.
Trump, 78, emphasized that he didn’t know the Chrisleys personally, but wanted to extend his best wishes. The former reality stars are expected to be released within days, if not hours, pending final procedural steps.
Since their imprisonment in January 2023, Savannah had taken on guardianship of her younger siblings, Grayson, 19, and Chloe, 12. Balancing legal costs, parenting, and public scrutiny, she told PEOPLE earlier this year, “You fake it till you make it.”

“I am grateful to God and extremely grateful to President Trump and his entire administration,” Chase, 28, told The New York Post. “I’m beyond thankful to finally have my parents back home and my family together again!”
Chase, like his siblings, had been navigating life with his parents serving time in separate federal prisons following their 2022 convictions.
Kyle Chrisley expressed both joy and cautious optimism after learning that his father Todd and stepmother Julie were pardoned by Trump. Despite past estrangement, Kyle told E! News he’s hopeful for a fresh start.
“I’m ecstatic. Truly. I just found out a little bit ago and I still just can’t believe it,” he said. Kyle credited his sister Savannah for tirelessly advocating on their parents’ behalf, saying, “I know Savannah had been working at this for so long and she never gave up.” Looking forward, Kyle added, “I’m going to remain hopeful that another reconciliation is possible.”
