Shailene Woodley says talking about Aaron Rodgers relationship makes her 'cry'

However, Shailene Woodley is thankful to her best friend Kris Zero who was there with her during that difficult time.

Recalling the tough period, which eventually got better, she explained, “Sometimes I was so angry at her. But then we’d go surf, and for ten minutes that day I thought life could be OK again. Then the depression would come back and she’d go, ‘We’re volunteering at the horse ranch!’”

“And we’d find a random f***king horse ranch, and we’d clean up horse shit...And for 20 minutes that day I thought life could be OK again. And then the depression came back,” Woodley added.

During the interview there came a point when Woodley directly addressed Rodgers.

Shailene Woodley thought she and Aaron Rodgers were 'meant to be together'

Though there is no confirmed date or year when Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers began dating, tipsters in February 2021 reported that they were together.

Also, while accepting the award for the 2020 NFL MVP in the same month of 2021, the 41-year-old footballer said, as per People, "It's an honor to win this award for the third time. 2020 was definitely a crazy year," before he declared, "I got engaged."

Later in the same month, the 'Divergent' star claimed, "Yeah, we've been engaged for a while!"

Woodley even hailed her romance with Rodgers as she said in June 2021, "I have the perspective that I would have met Aaron in any context, any space in time, because I feel we were meant to be together."

However, the bubble soon burst in February 2022 when reports claimed the duo had split.

"It was an amicable split; it just wasn't working. They're very different people with busy careers and there were obstacles that they couldn't surmount," an insider shared at the time.

A few months later, another source added, "Shailene felt everything was on Aaron's terms and it wasn't making her happy."
