LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Shania Twain has opened up about the conversations she has with Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter, revealing that the three often discuss the challenges of balancing demanding careers with personal milestones.
Speaking on the 'Heart' podcast on Saturday, July 25, the country music icon shared the advice she offers the younger stars as they navigate fame alongside decisions about marriage and family. Twain's remarks came shortly after Swift married Kelce on July 3, during a private, star-studded ceremony at Madison Square Garden.

Twain said she has been fortunate to have meaningful one-on-one conversations with both Swift and Carpenter, with their discussions frequently centering on the realities of balancing career ambitions with personal life.
"I've been lucky in having some nice one-on-one chats with some of the younger girls in the industry, Sabrina Carpenter being one, and Taylor Swift as well," she shared. According to the 'You're Still The One' crooner, the conversations often turn to questions surrounding marriage, motherhood, and whether there is ever a perfect time to pursue either while building a successful career.
"It seems like we always end up talking about the difficulty of balancing personal life and career, and, you know, when to be a mother, or when to get married. Is there a right time? Is there a wrong time? And then you add fame as well. That's a whole other factor that the average person doesn't have," Twain further said.
She added that juggling family life with a high-profile career requires careful preparation, "So it is difficult, as it is, to be a career woman who then wants a child maybe, so now that, you know, there's just so many factors and layers."
"These are the types of conversations that we have together, and just, you know, I am always happy to share my experiences and how I manage it, or have managed it, especially when my son was young, and it takes a lot of planning. That's what I always say. You really have to plan. You really have to plan," Twain said.
Shania Twain reveals why she missed Taylor Swift's wedding, praises Sabrina Carpenter
Twain recently revealed that although she was invited to Swift's wedding, she could not attend because she had already committed to opening Harry Styles' 12-night run at Wembley Stadium in London from June 12 to July 4.
Speaking to CTV's Etalk, the country singer explained that she had accepted the commitment before the wedding plans. "Taylor Swift invited me to her wedding and I couldn't go because I was already committed to Harry's shows," she said. "So that's why I say that, because it's just kind of funny that that happened that way. I was already committed."
She added that she "would've done anything to be at Taylor's wedding," but was already performing with Styles. When asked whether she would sing at Styles' future wedding, Twain replied, "If I was available, I would."
The interviewer then joked that Styles would have to arrange his wedding around her schedule, prompting her to respond with a laugh, "He's going to have to ask me more in advance."
Twain has also spoken warmly about Carpenter, who covered her 1997 hit 'That Don't Impress Me Much' during the Toronto stop of the 'Short n' Sweet Tour'.
Speaking to E! News at the 2024 People's Choice Country Awards, which she hosted, Twain praised the performance. "It's just a huge compliment," she said, adding, "I mean, [Carpenter is] such a talented person! She's smart, so it's a compliment."
