Shannen Doherty shares a throwback picture as she remembers late ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ fiance David Gail
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Shannen Doherty took to social media to remember her late one-time TV fiance, David Gail, who died on January 16.
According to his representative, the 'Beverly Hills, 90210' star died due to complications from sudden cardiac arrest, according to the New York Post.

'Beverly Hills, 90210', teen drama series which ran from 1990 to 2000 on Fox follows a group of high school friends and their life in the titular neighborhood.
Doherty, who starred as Brenda Walsh, tries to fit in the new neighborhood after she moves to the area with her brother Brandon (Jason Priestley).
Gail entered the series in Season 4. He played Stuart Carson, Brenda's fiance, and appeared in eight episodes. Due to Carson’s drug dealing history, his time on the show ended before the character's engagement ended.
Shannen Doherty pays tribute to David Gail
Doherty took to her Instagram Story on Tuesday, January 23, to post a picture of herself as Brenda and Gail as Stuart as they are seen dancing together on set.
Initial reports suggested the actor's death was being investigated as a possible overdose. However, Gail's family does not suspect an overdose as the cause of his death but heart failure.
"We are extremely touched by the outpouring of love from David’s dedicated fans and colleagues," Gail's mother, Mary stated.
"We are grateful for all the support received during this very difficult time," Mary added.
Inside David Gail's professional life
During an appearance on Peter Ferriero's podcast, Gail spoke about working on '90210' as he expressed gratitude to the crew behind the series.
"I have to say thank you to you guys for what you wrote, what you produced [and] all the ideas. That was something I’m really grateful for," he said in April 2021.
Gail was also popular for his role Dr Joe Scanlon on the 'General Hospital' spinoff 'Port Charles' in which he played the role for more than 200 episodes. His other works included 'Murder, She Wrote', 'ER', and 'Doogie Howser, MD.'
The late actor is survived by his son, Guthier, and his sister, Katie.

In an Instagram post on Saturday, January 20, Katie confirmed Gail's death as she wrote, "There’s barely been even a day in my life when you were not with me by my side."
"Always my wingman always my best friend ready to face anything and anyone with me the bears will never be the same but I will hold you so tight every day in my heart you gorgeous loving amazing fierce human being missing you every second of every day forever there will never be another," she added.
