Shaun White went all out with Nina Dobrev's solitaire diamond ring
Shaun White proposed to Nina Dobrev with a five-carat diamond ring at the Golden Swan restaurant beneath a white rose arch. According to Lorel Diamonds jeweler Laura Taylor, the diamond is an elongated oval-cut diamond set on a traditional yellow gold ring.
"Based on the size and quality seen in photos shared online, I would estimate the diamond to [be] … an approximate value of $220,000 to $270,000," Taylor told Us Weekly.
She added, "The choice of elongated oval diamond is both modern and elegant, and it is often a popular choice thanks to its excellent brilliance and elongating effect on the hand."
Olivia Landau, a gemologist and the proprietor of The Clear Cut, told The Zoe Report that the ring might be valued up to $300,000 if the stone is natural.

"Picking a minimalist style ensures that it will flow seamlessly with Nina’s ever-evolving looks and pursuits, providing a touch of sophistication that matches any outfit or setting," Taylor told The Zoe Report.
One of the images showed Dobrev putting her arms around White as he raised her up and planted a kiss on her. The pair, who have been together for more than four years, stood beneath a stunning white floral arch that was adorned with lilies, roses, and other flowers.
Nina Dobrev got fake invite from Shaun White's publicist to exclusive dinner
The Vogue article claimed that the Olympian had his publicist send Nina Dobrev a fictitious invitation to an exclusive CFDA/Vogue dinner with Anna Wintour in order to carry out the proposal plan.
The actress remarked, "He made the invite look so legitimate." White and the photographer were the only people in the restaurant when she got there. Dobrev told the magazine, "He said all the right things."
The couple told Vogue that White had to keep hiding the ring in different locations to ensure she didn't find it before popping the question. He kept it in a safe at first, and then he put it in his sock drawer.
After a while, he placed it in the tool shed. Dobrev was shocked to learn that's where the ring ended up, but White assured her he knew she would never check there.
Dobrev told the outlet, "I went into shock," after the surprise. "I just froze and stared at him."
The couple's friends joined them at the restaurant later that evening, and they all celebrated with champagne and caviar.
The duo first crossed paths in 2012 at an awards ceremony, but their official introduction did not come until 2019.
Dobrev and White were seen riding bicycles together in Malibu in the early days of quarantine, per People.
With a humorous video of the actress trying to wash her groceries on Instagram in April 2020, the couple decided to make their romance official.
Although White's face was obscured during the demonstration, fans immediately drew attention to the snowboarder's freckled arms and tattoo. She then shared a series of pictures of herself giving White a quarantine haircut in late May.
