BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: The 81st Golden Globe Awards, scheduled for Sunday, 7th January, 2024, is already generating a buzz, especially after pop star Taylor Swift's appearance in a Golden Globes TV spot ahead of the awards night.

The event, reverting to its traditional Sunday slot at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, is set to be a televised extravaganza filled with stars.

Comedian Jo Koy will be hosting the show, which is being broadcast on CBS as part of a one-year deal.

In an effort to cater to a worldwide audience, the ceremony will be aired live on CBS and concurrently streamed for Paramount+ subscribers with Showtime, per AP.

The Globes unveiled a list of awards presenters on Friday, featuring icons such as Dua Lipa, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Banks, Jared Leto, and Jodie Foster, per Independent. 

Adding a dash of pop glamour, Taylor Swift is slated to attend.

Swift's 'Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour' has been nominated for the newly introduced 'cinematic and box-office achievement' award.

Earlier, her fans had predicted a win for her when the Golden Globes announced the nominations for the 'Box Office Achievement' category.

A video of her cameo in a Golden Globes TV spot, leading up to the awards night, is circulating on the internet. The fact that the singer is the first person shown in the spot is causing her fans to brim with excitement.

The upcoming ceremony marks the first time since 1982 that the event will be broadcast live on CBS in the United States, per Vareity.

This will also be the inaugural Golden Globe Awards ceremony following the dissolution of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) in 2023.

On June 12, 2023, the HFPA reportedly declared that all its rights and assets associated with the Golden Globes had been transferred to Dick Clark Productions and Eldridge Industries.

Swifties are thrilled as Taylor Swift is featured in the Golden Globes TV spot ahead of the awards night, affirming that the singer will indeed be present.
