The star of 'When Harry Met Sally' graced the event on Monday, May 6, donning a shimmering black Michael Kors gown for the 'Garden of Time' themed charity ball at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
She joined co-chairs Bad Bunny, Zendaya, Chris Hemsworth, and Jennifer Lopez for the evening's celebrations, according to E!.
Meg Ryan makes Met Gala return after decades
Ryan received cheers from her followers, marking her first appearance at the Met Gala since 2001.
After years of staying away from the limelight, the 62-year-old actress made her return to the screen with the romantic comedy 'What Happens Later' in November 2023.
"I feel lighter, almost liberated because I have said certain things and made observations about love and relationships," she shared with IO Donna on her return to the cinema. "And to be honest, I can finally look back and feel in the present at the same time."
Meg Ryan further reflected, "I appreciate my age: Now it is more important to say clearly what you think rather than pleasing others and making everyone happy."
In an interview last year, she also pondered on aging and life after turning 60, expressing, “Our culture is so obsessed with youth. As an old person now, I love my age.”
She continued, “I love where I’m at. Aging is not that terrifying. We’re all doing it. I wish someone had told me earlier, 'Just relax. It is what it is. Don’t pay attention to the obstacles.’”
The ‘You've Got Mail' star further stated, “There’s a time in your teens and 20s where you’re trying on personalities to figure out who you are, who to be,” reports OK! Magazine.
