Shannen Doherty recalls her fiery on-set fight with 'Beverly Hills, 90210' co-star Jennie Garth
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Shannen Doherty recently recounted getting into a heated disagreement with her 'Beverly Hills, 90210' co-star Jennie Garth over a prank.
While speaking with her former castmate Brian Austin Green on her 'Let's Be Clear' podcast on Monday, March 4, Doherty further discussed the strain between the female co-stars.
'Beverly Hills, 90210' lasted for ten seasons between 1990 and 2000, with Doherty playing the lead character Brenda Walsh for the first four seasons till she was fired from the series in 1994, as per Us Weekly.

Shannen Doherty recalls off-screen altercation with Jennie Garth on 'Beverly Hills, 90210' set
Doherty started to speak to her former co-star, Green, about the fight, stating, "What's really funny about that fight that was between myself and Jennie, and it started, I don't know if you remember why it started."
"She was doing, she was calling it ‘Pants Down Day’ where she would pull the pants on some of the crew members in a funny way, but some of them were getting pretty annoyed with it," explained the 'Charmed' star, revealing that the argument with Garth was the result of an on-set prank.
She continued, "And then I reversed it and I said, ‘Skirt up day’. And she always wore the men's Calvin Klein boxer shorts under her clothes. So I didn't think it was that big of a deal. And so I did ‘Skirt Up Day’ and oh, my God, she lost it on me and I was just not in the mood to back down."
Described as a "huge moment for everyone," Green recalled the altercation between Garth and Doherty and how he and co-star Ian Ziering stepped into it.
The former 'Dancing With The Stars' contestant shared, "I remember at one point when there was a fight out front and Ian and I were there. And so, we were the two that stepped into, kind of, the middle of it to keep it from escalating," as per Page Six.
Shannen Doherty says female cast members were often at odds with one another
Doherty claimed that there was constant tension among the actresses when they were filming for 'Beverly Hills, 90210'.
She said, "I recall when tension started happening on the set and it was always awesome to me that the boys got along so well. You guys were always very supportive of each other and congratulating each other and it wasn't necessarily the same with the girls."
Later, Green agreed and added that the female cast members—including actresses Tori Spelling and Gabrielle Carteris—were often at odds with each other.
He expressed, "I feel like you're sugarcoating that situation a little bit," adding, "I remember it got really rough and competitive for you all. That was not an easy situation to watch."
The 'Beverly Hills, 90210' alum responded to long-running claims in August 2019 regarding her supposed conflicts with co-stars before she departed from the series in 1994.
Doherty told PEOPLE Magazine, "I have felt misunderstood my whole life. The only difference is that now I’m okay with it. But there have been moments where we’ve been able to talk about things."
Reuniting for the brief Fox series, 'BH90210', Doherty recalled clearing up any misunderstandings about her time on 'Beverly Hills, 90210' with her fellow cast members.
The actress noted, "It was very interesting having those conversations, not just about me but about what they were going through too. And really understanding each other this time around as adults."
