WASHINGTON, DC: In a speech on Tuesday, February 20, GOP presidential contender Nikki Haley attacked President Biden's intelligence, claiming he "sounds like his mind is closing up shop," as per The Hill.

Haley stated at a speech in Greenville, South Carolina, ahead of the state's GOP primary on Saturday, that Biden is damaging his chances of winning the election more than any criticism from Republicans.

In addition, she made the case that the Republican Party needs to hold a fierce nomination process to select the best candidate to run against the president in a general election.

Haley said, "Every time he opens his mouth, he sounds like his mind is closing up shop. The Democrats are getting weaker by holding a coronation for Biden. Republicans will get stronger through a vigorous competition."

Following the publication of the special counsel Robert Hur's report on Biden's handling of secret materials, Biden has come under fire and raised some doubts about his chances of winning reelection.

Though Hur did not accuse Biden, he described him as a "well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory."

The study was also made public because Biden had misidentified several foreign leaders, such as former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl and former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, former French President François Mitterrand, and current French President Emmanuel Macron.

Donald Trump allies believe Nikki Haley is helping Joe Biden by staying in race

In response to attacks from Trump supporters who claimed that Haley was aiding Biden by remaining in the race, Nikki Haley made her comment on Biden's mental clarity.

According to her, Trump's continued participation benefits Biden by maybe making him a simpler candidate for the general election.

"At the end of the day, the only candidate who’s helping Joe Biden is Donald Trump, because Trump is the only Republican Biden can beat," Haley said.

She further added, "The Democrats know it. They don’t even try to conceal their glee at the prospect of running against Trump. They want to win — so they want the guy they’ve already beaten time and again. Trump knows it too, but he won’t admit it."

Internet reacts

People on the internet had mixed reactions as Nikki Haley trolled Joe Biden by saying "He sounds like his mind is closing up shop." On one side, people criticized Haley for her statement where as others agreed.

A user wrote, "She’s 3 years late…No wonder she has Lost Everything…" while one added, "Trump never had a functional mind to begin with and he’s gotten more and more demented with every speech he gives. He sounds like a true fascist right now, even using Hitler’s language."

A user also stated, "She won't do any good for USA as the dems will laugh at her. ONLY TRUMP will get the job done!! He knows who is in the swamp keeping the idiots running the puppet show" whereas one added, "No dems/media are going to listen to a woman. They use women for money and because men have to treat them nice, not what they deserve, still got to treat them nice when they lie to your face."
