LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pamela Anderson will not be donning the red bikini for the rebooted 'Baywatch' series since sources confirmed that she will not be appearing in the impending television revival.

However, Fox is ramping up its lifeguard drama, committing a sizable script and crew to 'Baywatch', a revival of the beloved beach series. The latest iteration is a collaboration of Fremantle and Fox Entertainment, Deadline reported.

Sources confirm Pamela Anderson's 'Baywatch' days 'are over'

According to sources who spoke with TMZ, producers working on the reboot did not approach Pamela, 56, who portrayed CJ Parker, or her team about a part in the Fox series, and even if they had, she would have declined.

Pamela's Baywatch days "are over," they continued, adding that there is no animosity but that the show "is just part of her past and she has no interest in going back down that road."

According to sources, she has no desire to return to it for a cameo or for anything else that might be discussed in the writers' room.

The original show was set on a beach in Los Angeles, where a group of lifeguards under the command of Lieutenant Mitch Buchannon (David Hasselhoff) regularly saved lives, dealt with personal tragedies, battled crime, and went on outrageous adventures.

Actresses Nicole Eggert, Yasmine Bleeth, Parker Stevenson, Alexandra Paul, Erika Eleniak, and several others were part of Pamela's red bikini brigade, as per Daily Mail.

There is currently no information regarding the cast of the reboot, including returning actors and newcomers, as it is still in the early phases of development at Fremantle and Fox Entertainment.

Although Pamela's breakthrough performance in 'Baywatch' as CJ Parker helped pave the way for her Hollywood career and made her a sex idol and movie legend—she is now in a different stage of life and is concentrating on Sonsie, her new beauty line, and other endeavors.

She wore an oversized black hat after showcasing her sense of style in a black gown embellished with a quirky red fish skeleton sculpture.

For the shoot, she wore her hair in soft waves, applied a hint of white mascara, and applied lip balm. She spoke about "flipping the script" on beauty standards by transforming her appearance.

"I was doing it for the girls. I just think, the social media world and the fantasy, especially in fashion and film, those places are escapism, but this everyday stuff… I felt like It's okay to just be," Anderson said.

"And I just didn’t want to get into the whole glam thing and play the game. I just want to flip the script; I want to challenge beauty," she added.
