Simone Biles reveals getting botox for 27th birthday and why she's 'not doing that again' in GRWM video
PARIS, FRANCE: Olympics-winning gymnast Simone Biles has taken the social media by storm with a honest "getting-ready" video, proving that even the most experienced individuals face challenges.
The most decorated gymnast, who is currently competing in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, uploaded a 'Get Ready With Me' (GRWM) video to TikTok on August 2 (filmed on August 1 before she went on to win a gold medal in the tournament).
Biles, 27, not only exhibited her makeup skills and what exactly she wears to compete, but she also shared some details of a recent self-care attempt that went wrong.
Simone Biles experienced botched facial expression after getting Botox for 27th birthday
Before Simone Biles went on to represent the USA in the all-around gymnastics finals, she guided her fans through her make-up regimen in a GRWM-style TikTok video.
While honing her appearance, she addressed candidly her experience of having cosmetic treatment. She began, "I have a funny story for you guys."
"So, for my 27th birthday, I got Botox, like, baby Botox, just right here in my T-zone, and I did not like it. So I haven't got it again, and mind you that was back in March," Biles said, per People.
She laughed as she related how, during practice, one of her eyebrows would suddenly lift by itself, much to the amusement of her fellow gymnasts. However, she was unable to get the eyebrow to lower for almost 20 seconds at a time.

She remembered that "it would randomly do that," then pointedly wrinkled her forehead to show that she could now make "all the facial [expressions]." Regarding the cosmetic treatment, Biles added, "Not doing that again."
Simone Biles might get another Olympics-inspired tattoo
Simone Biles's experiments with aesthetics do not stop there. She suggested that she might get a new tattoo in honor of the Paris Games.
Despite already having Olympic rings inked, Biles mentioned she’s considering an “Ode to Paris” tattoo but hasn’t decided yet. “I'm not sure,” she said while continuing to apply her makeup.
As per Teen Vogue, Biles — who is officially the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history — got the Olympic rings tattooed in March 2017.
According to POPSUGAR, she also has tattoos of the words "Golden" and "XO," her birth year 1997, the slogan "And still I rise," and two small butterflies on her torso.

In the Netflix series 'Simone Biles Rising,' Biles opened out about the significance of her tattoos, which reads, "And still I rise."
As per People, Biles stated, "Before I got this tattoo, it was a saying that I loved — obviously, Maya Angelou — and I was like, ‘And still I rise is perfect,’ because I feel like that’s kind of the epitome of my career and my life story."
Simone Biles talks about her mental health journey in TikTok video
Simone Biles discussed her journey's more somber side, mental health, alongside her hilarious acts and beauty regimens.
She confessed to feeling "really nervous" before the day's competitions but managed to relax after her morning therapy session.
In an Instagram post on August 2, she emphasized the importance of mental health by writing, "Mental health matters."
