Simone Biles says criticisms against Jonathan Owens for wearing her Olympic medal are 'miserable'
While many fans found Jonathan Owens' gesture sweet, others criticized him for seemingly posing as if the win were his own.
Among the critics was Toronto-based artist, Kiera Breaugh who told Owens to “take her medal off” in a TikTok video that garnered 2.1 million views, according to People.

Unhappy with the criticism, Biles who married Owens in April 2023 responded to Breaugh's video in the comments section.
“Crazy thing is, I put my medal on every single one of my family members and took pictures so don’t ever make assumptions,” she wrote on Thursday, Aug. 1.
“Like y’all are so f*****g miserable. Leave us alone," Biles added.
Critic Kiera Breaugh's response to Simone Biles defending Jonathan Owens' gesture
Responding to Simone Biles' comments, Kiera Breaugh posted a follow-up video on TikTok that she was “honored to be told to f**k off by such a talented woman."
"She put the medal on him. I can't really be mad if she told him to," said Breaugh.
"And you know what? Maybe I am miserable. I'll be called miserable by the most decorated gymnast of all time. I think that's fine," she continued.
"I think in comparison, naturally, I am not just miserable but also lazy, untalented and all the other things in the caption. I am undeniably that in comparison. So I don't mind. I don't mind this at all," Breaugh added.
