His mother Janelle revealed that he had sent some "ominous" messages to a group of people the day before his death, which made her worry about his well-being.

According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Janelle told the police that Garrison had texted a group of people that the Brown family works with, presumably for their show and the words were "ominous."

He texted them, “I want to hate you for sharing the good times. But I can’t. I miss these days."

Janelle, who was not in the group chat, learned of her son’s message and tried to reach out to him via text.

When he "stopped responding," Janelle contacted her other children and asked them to check on Garrison, who lived in Arizona, as per the report.

Gabriel Brown, one of Garrison’s siblings, volunteered to go to his house and see how he was doing. But on reaching he found Garrison dead with a gun in his hand.

Why didn't Garrison Brown's roommates find him until the next day?

Garrison had shot himself on Monday night, March 5, but his roommates did not hear the gunshot and thought it was a “pop” sound.

They didn't think "it was a gunshot, and none of them even checked on Garrison to see what happened," the report mentioned after his three roommates were interviewed by the police.

They did not discover his body until the next day when Gabriel arrived on the scene and called 911.

The roommates told the police that Garrison had a problem with alcohol.
