Skip Bayless criticizes Tom Brady for his NFL commentary gig, calls him 'Captain Obvious'
SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA: NFL analyst and former Fox Sports host Skip Bayless has made it clear that he's not impressed with Tom Brady’s transition to the broadcasting booth.
Bayless once again took a dig at Brady's commentary during the recent NFL game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, October 6.
Skip Bayless mocks Tom Brady's commentary as 'Captain Obvious'
Tom Brady, currently in his first season as an NFL commentator, shared his excitement during a key play, but that didn’t seem to resonate with Skip Bayless who mocked the seven-time Super Bowl champion.
While calling the game alongside play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt, Brady couldn't contain his enthusiasm when Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray pulled off a 50-yard touchdown run, exclaiming "Oh!" repeatedly.
Despite this, Bayless was quick to criticize Brady’s performance. "I've been listening to 49ers-Cardinals commentary by Captain Obvious ... who just talks and talks more and more obvious," he posted on X, referring to Brady.

Brady landed the job ater he signed a ten-year, $375 million deal to call those games on Fox network.
Bayless compares Tom Brady to Tony Romo
This isn't the first time Skip Bayless has been critical of Tom Brady's broadcasting abilities.
In September, Bayless also compared Brady’s skills to that of Tony Romo, a former Dallas Cowboys quarterback-turned-CBS Sports commentator.
After listening to both Brady and Romo call different games, Bayless took to social media at the time, writing, "Romo gives you far more X&O insight and enlightenment."
I listened to Tom Brady for a whole game today, then Tony Romo for a whole game. Romo gives you far more X&O insight and enlightenment. Some ex QBs can see it and say it. Some can't. Maybe Brady played more with indescribable feel and instinct. But ... he's just a booth rookie.

"Some ex-QBs can see it and say it. Some can't. Maybe Brady played more with indescribable feel and instinct. But ... he's just a booth rookie," Bayless wrote, according to Daily Mail.
Bayless left Fox in August. "I had a great eight-year run with a lot of great people at FOX, but now I'm excited for what's coming up. Stay tuned," he wrote on X.
Although he has not yet announced his next venture, rumors indicate that he is preparing to launch a new show with his friend and rapper Lil Wayne.
Internet reacts to Skip Bayless' remarks on Tom Brady
Skip Bayless, who left his show 'Undisputed' earlier this year, has faced backlash online for his remarks about Tom Brady.
One user on X defended Brady, posting, "Captain Obvious is employed—so there’s that."
Another wrote, "Shut up u jealous old little boy." One commented, "Brady must have ignored you or did something to have you in your feelings; you been dissing him a lot lately."
One more user also highlighted Bayless' own career change, saying, "Skip got fired from Fox and all the sudden attacking Brady who's employed by Fox lol."
Another user added, "He’s been excellent. Someone is just salty he never went on your show, never cared about you, and still works at the company that fired you."
