Slash’s stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight’s cause of death at 25 revealed
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Los Angeles authorities have disclosed the cause of the July 19 death of Lucy-Bleu Knight, the 25-year-old stepdaughter of rock legend Slash.
The Los Angeles County medical examiner's office announced in a statement on August 29 that Lucy-Bleu's death was attributed to hydrogen sulfide toxicity, ruling the manner of death as suicide.

According to an official statement, "Ms Knight was found unresponsive in a private residence on July 19 by law enforcement conducting a welfare check. Death was pronounced at 1500 hours."
A deputy medical examiner conducted the examination on July 22, officially certifying the cause of death by August 29, officials reported.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, hydrogen sulfide is "a colorless, flammable, highly toxic gas" that can cause severe symptoms such as nausea, headaches, delirium, loss of balance, tremors, convulsions, and skin and eye irritation.
The agency warned that inhaling high concentrations can lead to rapid unconsciousness and death.
Lucy, who had garnered 35,000 followers on Instagram, reportedly worked at Electric Lady Management, the talent division of the iconic recording studio, Electric Lady.

The legendary musician shared the tragic news of his beloved stepdaughter's death in a heartfelt Instagram post on July 22, capturing the profound sense of loss.
"My heart is permanently fractured," Slash expressed in a deeply emotional Instagram post on July 27, alongside a touching selfie of Lucy-Bleu.
His words painted a vivid picture of his grief: "I will never ever stop missing you & remembering what a beacon of happiness, laughter, creativity & beauty you have always been ... & still are."
He continued, "The brightest light in the lives of so many who loved you dearly. I find solace in the hope that you are at peace now. I will love you eternally."

In the wake of his heartbreaking loss, Slash canceled four dates of his solo S.E.R.P.E.N.T Tour.
Announcing Lucy-Bleu's passing on Instagram, Slash wrote: "Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024."
The statement continued: "Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul."

"The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss."
Just hours before sharing the devastating news in July, Slash canceled several tour dates, citing "unforeseen circumstances."
The announcement read: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour regrettably has to cancel the below performances. Refunds will be available at points of purchase.
"The S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour will resume in Toronto on July 28, 2024, at Budweiser Stage. We love our fans and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused."
Slash received an outpouring of condolences from celebrity friends.
Dave Grohl's daughter Violet expressed sympathy, while Lenny Kravitz and Tom Morello offered their deepest condolences. Flea, Duff McKagan's wife Susan, actor Jason Momoa, singer Fergie, and Riki Rachtman also extended their support, as per Daily Mail.
