Snoop Dogg praises Charlie Wilson during Hollywood Walk of Fame induction, says he means the world to me
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Charlie Wilson was honored with the Hollywood Walk of Fame Star on Monday, January 29.
And it was his pal Snoop Dogg who offered a heartfelt speech during the memorable moment for the singer.
The moment Charlie Wilson saved Snoop Dogg's marriage
Snoop recalled during the ceremony how his good friend stepped up and saved his marriage.
"This man right here means the world to me, not just musically but personally, especially when it comes to me and my wife because there were certain phases in my life where I felt like, 'I should be by myself, I should do this alone,'" said the ‘Lay Low’ rapper.
The 52-year-old has been married to Shante, 52, since 1997. He explained, “[He] was the only one man enough to pull me to the side and let me know, 'Don't blow a good thing. Get back home. You got the greatest woman in the world. You have a family.'"
Snoop added that Wilson “showed me and taught me by not just saying it, by showing it. So, I appreciate you for showing me them family values."

Snoop Dogg praises Charlie Wilson’s wife Mahin Tat
The ‘Gin and Juice’ rapper also took a moment to praise Wilson’s wife Mahin Tat, reports People.
"Let me tell you about his wife, because she deserves a lot of credit for this. When we first got with Charlie, when I was on Death Row Records, and he was just beginning his rehabilitation, his wife at the time was his counselor," recalled Snoop.
"She came in the studio, and she told us, 'Nobody can smoke if Charlie is in the studio," he continued.
"So, the first day we was like, 'Man, who is this lady trying to tell us what to do? What you smoking? We doing what we want to do. You can kick rocks with all that,'" he said.
Snoop continued with his story saying, "She pulled me to the side, and she talked to me like my mother — and I was always taught by my mother to respect women and respect your elders."
"She put so much respect on me that we didn't smoke in the studio around Charlie Wilson when we was working," he added.
