NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Sofia Vergara, best known for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on the hit comedy show 'Modern Family', has been labeled the "rudest celebrity" by Kelly Mantle, who guest-starred on the series in 2019.

Kelly Mantle, who portrayed a drag queen in the episode, recalled Sofia Vergara's behavior behind the scenes, describing it as anything but pleasant.
"It was not the most pleasant experience I've ever experienced," Mantle admitted, revealing that the issue wasn't directly with her, but rather how Vergara treated those around her.
"It wasn't toward me. It was the way that some of her staff were being treated," she said.
One particular incident that stuck with Mantle involved a wig-related issue on set. According to the actress, Vergara refused to let bobby pins be used to secure the wig she wore for the scene.
"In the episode, she's wearing a wig, and they kept wanting to put bobby pins in it, and she kept telling them no bobby pins," she stated.
The tension escalated when Mantle, who was supposed to place a crown on Vergara's head during a scene, unintentionally upset the 'Griselda' star.
"They yell action, and I'm supposed to put the crown on her hair. So I put the crown on, and then they say cut, and she's like, 'Watch out for the wig! You're putting the crown on my head!'" Mantle said.
She recalled jokingly responding, "Well, girl, you should have put those bobby pins in."
Despite the situation, Mantle was quick to acknowledge that Vergara might have simply had an off day.
"Maybe it was a bad day. I'm just going to say it was a bad day. Because she's hilarious, and beautiful, and talented, and gorgeous. I'm sure it was a bad day," she said.
Vergara, who starred in 'Modern Family' from 2009 to 2020, has not commented on Mantle's allegations. The actress is currently in the spotlight due to her rumored romance with Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton.
The two were recently spotted enjoying a cozy lunch together in New York, sparking further interest in Vergara’s personal life.
