Critics suggest that her praise for Kardashian, after she featured in SKIMS Valentine's Day campaign, was "forced".
The 38-year-old songstress reportedly serves as the face of the brand's new Valentine's Day collection, which is slated for release on January 23.

Fans were given a sneak peek of Lana in the enticing outfits through a series of photos posted on Instagram
Lana, donning a satin blue and lace bodysuit, struck seductive poses inside a giant heart, her hands adorned with gloves and her hair decorated with a pair of matching bows.
The singing icon showcased her romantic and retro sides as she modeled a series of lacy looks in the shoot.
She sports the brand's pink lace teddy and satin gloves, nestling next to a heart-shaped bouquet of white flowers.
In another picture, she showcases one leg as an arrow pierces her heart.
Lana is also seen in the brand's heart print top and matching bottoms, sitting gracefully with an apple, pierced by an arrow, balanced on her head.
In a further look, Lana impresses in a sultry red top and sports a heart-shaped eye patch.
The Valentine's collection - comprising lingerie, sleepwear, and a 'play kit' - will be up for grabs later this month, with prices ranging from $16 to $126, per Daily Mail.

While Kim has had numerous celebrities model for her lingerie line, Lana's participation appears particularly noteworthy given her admiration for the songstress.
"I've been a big fan of SKIMS since the beginning, so being featured in their Valentine's campaign is so exciting," Del Rey said in a release.
"Their collection is so pretty and dreamy, which made collaborating with [photographer] Nadia Lee Cohen on the creative so fun. I hope you love it as much as I do," per People.
This year, the brand's Valentine's Day Shop has grown to include over 29 limited-edition collections of intimate wear, sleep sets, and loungewear.
These will be available for purchase on the Skims website, as well as other selected retailers, starting from January 23, per Variety.
