WASHINGTON, DC: A screenshot of a post by a flight attendant, who works for Southwest Airlines, is going viral for expressing disappointment after the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump failed.

A gunman opened fire at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday, April 25, with the alleged intent of killing President Donald Trump.

Oh please sweet baby Jesus,” Carpino wrote in a since-deleted Facebook post, Libs of TikTok reported.

We need better assassins,” she commented after Allen was nabbed by Secret Service agents.

It wasn’t the first time Carpio posted anti-Trump content on social media.

“One day we will wake up to his obituary,” reads a now-deleted post from July 10, 2024, just three days before the Butler assassination attempt on Trump.

Michele Carpino urged Trump’s killing in code language

The  post shared by Libs of TikTok showed that Michele Carpino had written “86 47” on Facebook. The term “86” is often used to mean getting rid of something, while “47” was seen as a reference to Donald Trump.

The same phrase had earlier been posted online by James Comey on May 15, 2025. His post later led to a federal indictment on April 28. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said the message was an illegal threat to “take the life of” the president.

In other posts, Carpino referred to MAGA as “hillbilly ISIS” and used the phrase “F–K ICE” multiple times on Facebook.

Southwest Airlines faces customers’ backlash

After Carpino’s remarks went viral, Southwest Airlines’ customers erupted in outrage and threatened the carrier that they would not fly with the airline.

"Southwest, I will cancel my CCs, I will cancel all upcoming trips. I will NOT fly your airline with people like this being responsible for us in the air. How am I supposed to expect fair treatment from someone like this?,” I Like Hats stated.

“[S]ure wouldn’t feel comfortable with her taking care of myself or my family. Do better watching socials and hiring,” one X-user wrote to Southwest.

SW Air, you have a nut job flight attendant. Shame on her! Fire her,” one X-user posted.

Carpino has been a flight attendant with Southwest for 10 years, according to a LinkedIn profile.
