‘Speaking the truth’: Internet agrees as Kristen Stewart says 'Twilight' is 'a gay movie'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kristen Stewart has recently shared her opinion about her ‘Twilight’ series saga.

The 33-year-old actress spoke with Variety, where she claimed the romance fantasy films were 'gay'.

Stewart, who is bisexual, told the publication, “I can only see it now. I don’t think it necessarily started off that way, but I also think that the fact that I was there at all, it was percolating.”

She further stated, “It’s such a gay movie. I mean, Jesus Christ, Taylor [Lautner] and Rob and me, and it’s so hidden and not OK.

“I mean, a Mormon woman wrote this book. It’s all about oppression, about wanting what’s going to destroy you. That’s a very Gothic, gay inclination that I love.”

The ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ actress was previously romantically involved with her ‘Twilight’ co-star Robert Pattinson.

Kristen Stewart feels free to be open about her sexuality

After ending the relationship with him, Stewart went public about her sexuality.

In 2017, she went on ‘Saturday Night Live’, where she not only revealed her true self but also called out former President Donald Trump for apparently being obsessed with her and Pattinson’s affair.

The British Academy Film Award-winning star reportedly said, “Donald, if you didn’t like me then, you’re really probably not going to like me now, because I’m hosting ‘SNL’ — and I’m, like, so gay, dude.”

Now, referring to her stand, she told Variety, “It was cool to frame it in a funny context because it could say everything without having to sit down and do an interview.”

Stewart has currently been engaged to her fiancée, Dylan Meyer.

In 2021, the ‘Spencer’ actress revealed, as per E! News, “We're marrying, we're totally gonna do it.”

“I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted and she nailed it. We're marrying, it's happening,” Stewart added.
