Stephen Baldwin responds to Hailey and Justin Bieber’s baby announcement amid ongoing family rift

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Despite family tensions, Stephen Baldwin and Pattie Mallette celebrated the birth of Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber's first child with heartfelt congratulations. 

As the couple welcomed baby Jack Blues Bieber, Baldwin and Mallette took to social media to share their joy, even though Hailey had recently discussed her growing independence from her famous family.

On Friday, Stephen Baldwin took to X to share his well-wishes alongside Justin's mother, Pattie Mallette. “CONGRATULATIONS @justinbieber & Hailey,” Mallette wrote in all caps, expressing her excitement. “I LOVE YOU FOREVER BABY JACK!!” 

Moments later, Baldwin, 58, chimed in with, “Amen 🙏🏽 Congratulations to you and may God continue to bless our family.”

In July, Hailey shared with W Magazine that she no longer feels “super close” to her famous family, attributing the distance to her growing independence. “I’m my own individual now, and I’ve built my own family,” the 27-year-old model said, although she acknowledged having “very fond, beautiful memories” of her “fairly normal childhood.”

Shortly after, Baldwin appeared to respond to Hailey’s comments with a selfie video and a caption that read, "Today, staying positive is a choice !! so I’m trusting in the power of joy, peace, and happiness. Finally if anyone hasn’t told you today, 😘 I LOVE YOU ❤️‍🔥.”

Hailey and Justin, who legally married at a New York City courthouse in 2018, announced the arrival of their first child, Jack Blues Bieber, on Friday, August 23rd. 

Justin shared the news on Instagram with a photo of the newborn’s tiny feet, which his wife appeared to be holding. “WELCOME HOME,” he captioned the post. The couple had previously celebrated their official wedding in South Carolina in 2019 with family and famous friends, including Kendall Jenner and Jaden Smith. 

They first announced their pregnancy in May with charming photos from their vow renewal ceremony in Hawaii, where Hailey showcased her baby bump in a lace Saint Laurent gown.

Within hours of posting on Instagram, Justin Bieber’s announcement garnered over 18,983,743 likes and numerous comments. Fans swiftly flocked to the post to share their reactions.

One user wrote, "Congratulations my love, you will be the best father in the world 🩵💙🥹❤️"

The second user claimed, "😭 😭 😭 😭 my God I waited so long that it seemed like I was the one who was producing this child 😭 🙏🏻 Welcome my prince."
