Stephen Baldwin shares cryptic post after pregnant Hailey Bieber says she's 'not super close' with family

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Stephen Baldwin posted a cryptic message following his pregnant daughter Hailey Bieber's recent admission that she's not "super close" with her family anymore.

The 58-year-old actor, who shares 27-year-old Hailey with his wife Kennya Baldwin, posted a video where he smiles at the camera, says "I love you," and then gazes into the distance.

He captioned the video, "Today, staying positive is a choice !! so I’m trusting in the power of joy, peace, and happiness. Finally if anyone hasn’t told you today, I LOVE YOU."

Badwin's post follows Hailey's revelation to W magazine that she isn't as close to her family as she prepares to welcome her first child with her husband, Justin Bieber.

Hailey, who is also the niece of actor Alec Baldwin — currently starring in a new reality TV show with his wife Hilaria — is a cousin of Guess model Ireland Baldwin, daughter of actress Kim Basinger.

During her cover interview, Hailey, a friend of Kendall Jenner, mentioned that she doesn't see much of her famous family these days.

"I'm not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I'm very independent. I'm my own individual now, and I've built my own family," she said. 

However, she added that she has 'fond' memories of her childhood.

She told the magazine, "I had a fairly normal childhood. Obviously, I come from the family that I come from, and I always recognized that that was different."

"But when I look back on my childhood and how I grew up, I have very fond, beautiful memories," she added. 

The founder of Rhode began her modeling career in her late teens. She noted that this period was one of personal growth and independence, as she was navigating the fashion industry while her peers were heading off to college.

She mentioned, "I started traveling the world and earning my own money."

"I got my own apartment and had to learn how to live on my own and pay bills. That pushed me into adulthood kind of quickly, when most of my friends were just leaving for college."

When did Justin and Hailey first get married?

Elle reported that following a breakup and an unexpected reconciliation that quickly led to an engagement, Justin officially married Hailey in a courthouse ceremony in New York City in September 2018.

A year later, they celebrated their union with a more formal wedding in the presence of friends and family.

Noteably, Hailey met Bieber backstage on NBC's TODAY back in 2009, initially introduced by her father. 

Hailey also shared with the magazine that she and Justin, 30, are focusing on cherishing their time together before their baby arrives.

She expressed, "In the beginning [of pregnancy], it was super emotional for me. Like, 'I love this human so much. How can I possibly bring someone else into this?' I'm trying to soak in these days of it being Justin and me, just the two of us."

Earlier this year, Baldwin publicly requested prayers for Hailey and her husband Justin in an Instagram story, which raised concerns among fans.

Sharing a video of Justin singing he wrote: "Christians please when you think of Justin & Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for them to have wisdom, protection, and draw close to the Lord."

Reportedly, Hailey Bieber who was six months pregnant in May, is due in August.
