LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Stephen Colbert, the renowned host of 'The Late Show,' has recently directed his sharp wit at President Joe Biden, expressing his growing concerns about the president's cognitive health.

According to OK Magazine, this new wave of criticism comes as more Democratic officials urge Biden to consider stepping down from the 2024 presidential race.

Colbert, who was once a staunch supporter of Biden, has taken a more skeptical stance following Biden’s recent debate performance.

Stephen Colbert channels Dr Seuss for a hilarious take on Biden’s reelection bid

In a playful yet pointed commentary, Stephen Colbert drew inspiration from Dr Seuss's beloved children's book 'Oh, the Places You’ll Go!' to create a parody titled 'Oh, the Places for Joe!'

Through this mock book, Colbert humorously questioned the President's mental acuity and fitness for office.

Colbert read from the parody, stating, “Is he mentally fit? Can he serve a full term? Can he beat RFK with his brain full of worms? Just ask him, just ask him, the man loves to talk, as long as you ask him before 8 o'clock.”

This tongue-in-cheek verse captures Colbert’s concerns about Biden's ability to continue his presidency and manage the pressures of a potential second term.

The parody book, as described by Colbert, provides a whimsical perspective on the president’s future outside the Oval Office: “Join Joe Biden as he explores a wonderful world outside of the Oval Office!”

In a candid moment, Colbert acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding Biden’s reelection bid, stating, “Here’s the thing: Maybe Biden can’t win. Or maybe he’s the only one who can win. I don’t know what the right answer is, and I’m not alone.”

Stephen Colbert's shift from Joe Biden supporter to critic

The shift in Stephen Colbert’s stance is noteworthy, especially considering his previous support for Biden. Just a few months ago, Colbert was a key figure at a major fundraising event in New York City, which successfully raised $26 million for Joe Biden’s campaign.

At that event, Colbert was seen moderating a discussion with Biden, former President Barack Obama, and former President Bill Clinton, demonstrating his strong endorsement of Biden’s reelection efforts.

However, recent developments indicate a broader shift among Biden’s high-profile supporters. Actor George Clooney, who played a significant role in a fundraising event in Los Angeles that raised over $30 million for Biden, has recently voiced doubts about the President’s candidacy in a New York Times op-ed.

George Clooney joins growing calls among Democrats for Biden to reconsider 2024 run

In his op-ed, George Clooney urged Joe Biden to consider stepping down, reflecting the increasing chorus of voices within the Democratic Party advocating for him to reconsider his decision to run for a second term.

Despite these mounting pressures and criticisms from within his own party, the Biden campaign remains steadfast. In a recent interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, Biden was directly asked, “Are you the same man today that you were when you took office three and a half years ago?”

Biden confidently responded. “In terms of successes, yes.”

He continued to defend his record, stating “I also was the guy who put together a peace plan for the Middle East that may be coming into fruition. I was also the guy who expanded NATO. I was also the guy that grew the economy. All the individual things that were done were ideas I had or I fulfilled, I moved on.”
