Allison Holker hopes her story about Stephen 'tWitch' Boss might help 'someone'

Allison Holker faced criticism after a January 7 interview with People where she discussed her late husband’s alleged drug use and childhood abuse. Boss died by suicide in December 2022 at the age of 40.

“It was a really triggering moment for me because there were a lot of things I discovered in our closet that I did not know existed,” she said during the interview.

Holker later explained her reasons for sharing these details in her upcoming memoir 'This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light' on Instagram story.

“To fans of Stephen and our family and friends, I want to be clear that my only intention in writing the book is to share my own story as well as part of my life with Stephen to help other people,” she wrote via Instagram on January 8.

Allison Holker emphasized that she worked with mental health nonprofit organisations over the last two years to ensure that her portrayal of sensitive subjects was accurate.

Proceeds from her memoir will go to a foundation she created in Boss' memory.

“My hope is that we won’t need to lose another husband, brother, father, or friend to suicide,” she stated.
