WASHINGTON, DC: Steve Bannon has accused the upcoming presidential debate between Donald Trump and President Joe Biden of being “100 percent rigged”.

During his ‘War Room’ podcast, hosted by Real America's Voice, the media executive said on Monday, June 24, “This Thursday debate is totally 100 percent rigged."

Steve Bannon accused CNN of being a Trump hater

He continued, “The organizing principle of CNN is a hatred of Donald Trump and the MAGA [Make America Great Again] movement to the core of their being, they hate, not disagree, not have policy differences, they hate Donald J Trump and they hate the MAGA movement.”

Trump's campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt also agreed with the former White House chief strategist as she asserted, “This is not going to be a fair debate on Thursday, and President Trump knows that...he knows that. He knows he's going into a lion's den.”

“It's going to be a 3-on-1 fight with crooked Joe...and [CNN anchors] Dana Bash and Jake Tapper,” Leavitt added.

But CNN via their spokesperson stated, “Jake Tapper and Dana Bash are well-respected veteran journalists who have covered politics for more than five decades combined. They have extensive experience moderating major political debates, including CNN's Republican Presidential Primary Debate this cycle.”

“There are no two people better equipped to co-moderate a substantial and fact-based discussion, and we look forward to the debate on June 27 in Atlanta,” they added.

Netizens call Trump and his aides ‘crybabies’

Meanwhile, Bannon has been slammed online for his “rigged” remark as a reader below a Newsweek article wrote, “The right always telegraphs their next narrative. They are very confident that Trump will lose, so they have to discredit the whole thing. If somehow Trump does come across as winner, they will never acknowledge their previous concerns - they will just brag that Trump is king.”

“Here's a question there Stevie, if the debate is 100% rigged, why did Donald agree to do it? If it's true it's rigged, doesn't that say Trump is a really bad decision-maker to accept the terms of the debate? If Trump can get hoodwinked by CNN, what chance does he have against China, North Korea, and Russia?” the second one asked.

The third one remarked, “EVERYTHING (repeat, everything) is rigged to MAGA Republicans because they can't win playing by the rules. Trump said the 2016 election was rigged; no one called him on that, yet a prime example of everything being rigged in their eyes. Crybabies do that.  Aren't they tired of winning yet?”

“This is like when Trump starts complaining about the election being rigged 6 months before the election. Not sure why MAGA likes this behavior so much,” the fourth one stated.

The fifth one added, “A felon whining for a felon.”
