However, not all NFL fans are thrilled with her high-profile support and the attention it brings. Some of these disgruntled fans have been labeled as “cranky” by Kelce.
The 34-year-old athlete recently expressed his pride in having the support of his superstar girlfriend, further fueling the media buzz around their relationship and her involvement with the team.
What did Travis Kelce say about Swift's support?
The 34-year-old Kelce shared insights into how he and his partner manage to maintain their privacy amidst their fame on 'The Pat McAfee Show' on Wednesday, January 31.
Kelce said, "It's a beautiful thing, isn't it? Hopefully, everybody realizes we’re just two people supporting each other and having fun with it, man."
He went on, "It's nothing more than that, and how much the world wants to paint the picture and make us the enemy, we just have fun with it, and we enjoy every single bit of it."
"I love it when Taylor comes and supports me and enjoys the game with the fam and friends," Kelce shared. "It’s been nothing but a wonderful year, man."
Travis Kelce about 'cranky NFL fans'
Kelce acknowledged that he and Swift are cognizant of the NFL fans who critique the league's focus on the pop star during games. He noted that Swift has been dealing with such negativity for a long time.
"We hear it but we hardly ever talk about it," said Kelce, dismissing the online vitriol by considering the spiteful remarks "nothing to even talk about, nothing to really bring up."
Reflecting on the novelty of having his celebrity girlfriend support him throughout the NFL season, Kelce admitted that it was "brand new" experience for him.
He mentioned the daily paparazzi attention and the constant media chatter about him as aspects of the media whirlwind he's had to adjust to while being in a relationship with Swift.
"You know, it's been a crazy, crazy ride that I could have never anticipated," Kelce stated.
"But I'm having fun with it. The majority of the world is having fun with it, outside all the cranky NFL fans that just don't want to see the Chiefs win," he mentioned.
But he quipped, "You know what, we're slowly reeling them in. They're fighting it right now."
Fans hope Traylor's bond 'lasts'
Fans have been enthusiastically following the relationship between Travis and Taylor since they were first seen together. Their public appearances during New Year's Eve and the AFC Championship ceremony have sparked hopes among fans for an engagement or proposal.
Kelce's recent admission of appreciating Swift's support at his games has further fueled fans’ interest and speculation.
A fan on Facebook said, "Relationships are difficult enough. I can’t even imagine being under a microscope like this. I’m glad they are so happy together, and I hope it lasts."
"And he should! Good for them! I love, love," said another.
Another fan stated, "I hope they get married and have kids!"
"We love it seeing two people in Love Love Alwsys Win," gushed another.
