PARIS, FRANCE: Women’s long jump gold medalist Tara Davis-Woodhall has opened up on her viral celebration with her husband at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The track and field star told People about the immense support she gets from Paralympian partner Hunter Davis-Woodhall.

The viral moment showed the couple embracing each other after Tara Davis-Woodhall came running to hug Hunter Woodhall and told her, “Babe, you’re the Olympic champion!”
“I haven’t been on social media that much, so I don’t know how viral it’s gone!” the 25-year-old track and field athlete told the outlet.
She added, “Everyone’s been telling me the whole world’s been seeing it, [but] that’s just Hunter and I. He’s my biggest supporter, and I guess the whole world got to see how much he supports me.”

Tara Davis-Woodhall's husband Hunter Davis to compete in Paralympics 2024
After Tara Davis-Woodhall bagged gold, her partner, Hunter Davis, a double-amputee sprinter, is ready to bring glory to the Paralympics. The event will begin on August 28.
“We’re going to go home for 13 days, pack it up, get some more training in for Hunter, and we’re gonna be back. The party continues. It doesn’t end here,” Tara Davis further said.

Tara Davis also promised to not let the enthusiasm fizzle out with the end of the Olympic Games, “I’ve been telling everyone that — watch the Paralympics! It’s going to be a special show.”
“Team USA is coming with a vengeance, and we’re going to dominate this year.”
Earlier, the track and field star Hunter celebrated his wife’s gold medal win on social media, “No words to describe how proud of you I am. No luck involved, you earned this. Discipline, work ethic, and grit. These are the moments and this is your moment. Soak it in ❤️,” he wrote with a photo of the pair posing in front of the Eiffel Tower.
Tara Davis managed to finish sixth place in the long jump at the 2020 Games in Tokyo. “It honestly fueled me for now, and first place was an option, and I wanted that. I’m so stoked, I’m so excited. I can’t believe I actually did it. It’s pretty surreal,” she reflected.
