Tate McRae makes 'wild predictions' of Philadelphia Eagles' 40-22 Super Bowl win in resurfaced 2023 video

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Canadian singer-songwriter Tate McRae's "wild predictions" about a Philadelphia Eagles game from 2023 have gained attention after the team defeated the Kansas City Chiefs at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Sunday, February 9.

During an interview with Q102 Philly radio station in 2023, the 'Greedy' singer appeared to accurately predict the final score of the match, 40-22.

In the resurfaced video from September 2023, Rachel Marie of the Q102 Philly radio station asked Tate McRae a series of questions about her knowledge of Philadelphia. 

The '2 Hands' singer gave a score that matched Super Bowl 2025 victory when asked to forecast a future game.

In an excerpt from the interview, McRae said, "This is football right? I think it’s gonna be 70 and no. No, it’s going to be 40 and 22," rearranging an Eagles sticker on her cheek.

In the video, she predicted that the Eagles would win the football game without mentioning who they would be playing against. When asked who she thought would win, McRae responded, "Obviously Philly."

The video immediately went viral after the Eagles defeated the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. 

According to the team's website, the Eagles had a number of games lined up around the time of McRae's 2023 interview.

She was probably forecasting a score for the Eagles' game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 25, 2023, when the Q102 Philadelphia radio station shared the video on Instagram, as per People.

Speaking to Newsweek, Marie, who goes by Rach on the Radio, said, "You don't need to be from Philadelphia to know how passionate this city is."

"Although it was for the home opener in 2023, with Tate being a die-hard hockey fan and not knowing much about football," Rachel said of McRae's prediction, adding that it "just goes to show how absolutely iconic she is."

The clip, which was reshared by Q102 Philly on Instagram after the Eagles' Super Bowl victory, has since received thousands of likes and hundreds of comments, with many praising Tate McRae over her accurate prediction. 

One Instagram user declared, "She’s a genius," while another said, "Wild predictions."

"Okay but how did she guess that," a person wondered. One praised the interviewer, Marie, by writing, "Dang Rach, you was holding out on betting Gold right there."

"If she guess who win or around number it easy but she guess the the number got right ,,she insane," said one more. 

Several others flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to laud McRae's prediction, as one said, "Tate McRae predicting scores like a pro! With this resurfacing after the #SuperBowl , fans are definitely having fun with it. Maybe she should start making game predictions full-time!"

"Tate Mcrae guessing the final score for this year's Super Bowl during the last Super Bowl the eagles & chiefs played is so iconic of her," read another comment. 

"Maybe she’s psychic or just really confident in her guessing game. Either way, impressive call!" another exclaimed

"Looks like Tate McRae called it before the big game! Her prediction was bold, but who saw the Eagles dominating like that?" chimed in one more.

"It seems like Tate McRae predicted the Eagles' victory with an impressive score line!" remarked another person.
