Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter leave fans gushing as they perform 'Espresso' together on Eras Tour
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Taylor Swift's Saturday night concert in New Orleans turned into an unforgettable event as she brought a special guest on stage: her friend Sabrina Carpenter.
Dressed in an eye-catching orange gown, Swift surprised the audience of 65,000 by announcing a change to her usual surprise set.
Taylor Swift surprises fans with Sabrina Carpenter's 'Espresso'
"I think tonight I'm going to do something completely different, which is that I'm going to sing a song that's not mine, but it's somebody that I really love," Taylor Swift declared, before performing a few lines from Sabrina Carpenter's song 'Espresso'.

After a brief pause, Swift added, "So you really love that song as much as I do? I know I'm just going on a tangent because I love my friend and I'm just so proud of Sabrina and the year she's had."
The crowd erupted with excitement when Swift grabbed her phone and called Carpenter, putting her on speaker. "I'm really somewhere really loud, I'm in New Orleans on the Eras Tour," Swift said.
"I just wanted to call and tell you that I sang a little bit of 'Espresso' and they said every word so loud. And I just wanted to say we all love you so much. What are you doing? Why aren't you here with us?"
A surprising reunion on stage
Sabrina Carpenter responded, "I'm somewhere where everyone is screaming so loud." Taylor Swift, ever the showwoman, asked, "Can you come down to the stadium real quick? Ball park how long would that take you?"
Carpenter joked, "It would probably take me five seconds." The crowd held their breath in anticipation until Carpenter made her grand entrance on the stage in a stunning white dress.
The two artists then harmonized together as Swift played an acoustic version of 'Espresso'. After the first chorus, Carpenter exclaimed, "Holy (expletive) New Orleans!" Swift then asked, "Can I do it?" referring to the first line of the second verse, "I'm working late, cause I'm a singer."
She then dove into part of her song 'Is It Over Now?' from '1989 (Taylor's Version)' and transitioned into 'Please, Please, Please' from Carpenter's latest album.
"She had literally one day off," Swift said, acknowledging Carpenter's commitment to her own tour. "This is crazy she came to perform for us. Will you please give it up for Sabrina Carpenter?"
As Carpenter walked down the catwalk and exited the stage, Swift moved to the piano for a mashup of 'Hits Different' from 'Midnights' and 'Welcome to New York' from '1989 (Taylor's Version)'.
With one more show in New Orleans, Swift's Eras Tour is set to conclude on December 8 in Vancouver, Canada.
