Gaga, 38, posted a video on TikTok on June 4 with the caption, “not pregnant  just down bad crying at the gym,” a reference to a lyric from Swift's song 'Down Bad' off her latest album, 'Tortured Poets Department'. Gaga also encouraged her followers to register to vote in November’s presidential election in that same post.

"Can we all agree that it’s invasive & irresponsible to comment on a woman’s body,” Swift, 34, commented on the TikTok. “Gaga doesn’t owe anyone an explanation & neither does any woman.”  Swift further, added off her comment with a kiss emoji.

Gaga had also separately posted on her Instagram story and X a video of herself on Tuesday with the caption: “Not pregnant…. REGISTER TO VOTE or check if you’ve already registered.”

Pregnancy speculations began to circulate following Gaga's appearance in paparazzi images at her sister's wedding on June 1 with her four-year companion Michael Polanski. Gaga's makeup artist, Sarah Tanno, came to her defense in a post shared on X, where she wrote, “Honestly, it’s really sad that she had to address this because people were commenting about her body.”

She added, "People should not be allowed to comment on other people’s body, fans have been saying for years that’s she was pregnant, just because how she looks in certain outfits. Why spread a rumor about somebody that you care about or love? It does affect people’s mental health, people should not be body shaming people or assuming they are pregnant when they aren’t!”

When Taylor Swift pregnancy rumors went viral on social media

Earlier, this month, a brief clip from Taylor Swift's recent Eras Tour performance in Lisbon sparked intense pregnancy speculation. Videos and photos of Swift in a tight, crystal-embroidered Versace bodysuit have circulated widely, with some fans noticing that her lower abdomen was sticking out.

Dr Annie, an OB-GYN, commented on TikTok as the allegations spread, igniting the controversy by speculating that Swift might indeed be pregnant based on the video. The music star herself hasn't provided an official confirmation, though.
