Taylor Swift chuckles about piano malfunction while performing 'Getaway Car' during Milan Eras Tour

MILAN, ITALY: Music icon Taylor Swift, who has been making headlines with her Eras Tour, encountered an unexpected technical glitch during a concert.

On her second night in Milan, Swift humorously addressed a piano malfunction that occurred while she was performing 'Getaway Car' during the secret songs segment of the July 14 show. A crew member promptly resolved the issue.

Taylor Swift’s piano malfunction in Milan Eras Tour

During her second Eras Tour show in Milan, Taylor Swift, 34, surprised fans with two unexpected mashups during the secret song segment of the concert.

The mishap occurred after she performed a guitar mashup of 'Mr Perfectly Fine,' a vault track from 'Fearless (Taylor's Version),' and 'Red' from 'Red (Taylor's Version).'

Things took an unexpected turn when she switched to the piano.

The 14-time Grammy winner started a mashup of 'Getaway Car' and 'Out of the Woods' from Reputation, but barely got through the opening lines before her colorful flower-painted piano malfunctioned.

"We have finally broken this thing," Swift told the audience as she peeked under the piano's lid, as seen in a fan video shared on TikTok. A crew member was also seen attempting to fix the instrument.

Another fan's video captured the triumphant moment after the piano was repaired. Swift closed the lid and exclaimed, "Oh, I did it!"

Swift has performed 'Getaway Car' three other times on the Eras Tour, most memorably with frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff in East Rutherford, NJ.

Prior to her Milan stop, Taylor Swift performed two shows in Switzerland, marking her first time in the "stunningly beautiful" country, as she described it on Instagram.

To celebrate the 113th concert of the Eras Tour during the secret songs segment, she treated the crowd to some of her favorite songs, as per People.

She began with 'Right Where You Left Me' from 'evermore' and 'All You Had To Do Was Stay' from 1989.

She then transitioned to 'Last Kiss' and 'Sad Beautiful Tragic' from 'Speak Now,' marking the one-year anniversary of the release of 'Speak Now (Taylor's Version).'

After a video of Taylor Swift's piano malfunction during her Milan Eras Tour went viral, many internet users flocked to the comments section to share their perspectives, noting how she laughed off the glitch during her concert.

One tweeted, "It’s literally just her laughing"

The second wrote, "literally nothing happened to the piano" [sic]

One user claimed, "bruh the piano just broke omfg yall annoying asf." [sic]

Another criticized, "I wish it broke, Italians didn't deserved those mashups," while the other user said, "time to start playing the violin and flute" [sic]
