Taylor Swift fans slam 'awful and disappointing' quality of her holiday merchandise including $120 jacket
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Taylor Swift is facing backlash after the launch of her new holiday merchandise, with several fans taking to social media to voice their frustration about the products.
Despite selling out quickly, many customers are complaining about the quality of the items. Some products have even ended up on resale sites like eBay and Poshmark, being sold for sky-high prices.
The controversy comes as Swift's fans rushed to her online store to grab the festive collection, which includes ornaments, sweatshirts, jackets, and pajamas, priced between $15 and $120.
Taylor Swift faces backlash over quality of holiday merchandise
Taylor Swift’s holiday merchandise collection has disappointed several fans. Complaints have centered around products like the $85 Koi Fish Zip-Up Hoodie, the $120 Cowboy Like Me jacket, and the $75 black purse.
The $85 Speak Now (Taylor's Version) Koi Fish Zip-Up Hoodie received criticism after a Swiftie named Ashley tweeted, "Girl what happened to the fish I PAID 100 FOR THIS," highlighting the discrepancies between the design shown on the website and the hoodie she received.

The website showed a hoodie covered in koi fish, but the actual product only featured a few fish on the top and bottom, leaving the center blank.
The $120 Cowboy Like Me jacket also faced backlash for its poor quality. One user called the jacket "awful," claiming, " The quality of the Cowboy Like Me jacket is awful… the material is SO thin that it feels like you're wearing a shirt rather than a jacket and the lyrics on the back are printed not embroidered like the website stated."

Another disappointed buyer said about the jacket, "Unboxed it and it’s awfully thin and so light, also way too big (even when the dimensions were identical to another jacket i have that fits amazing 🥴). Will be returning and getting my $200 dollars back, not worth it at all 😊😊😊 disappointing."

The $75 Tortured Poet's Department purse also garnered negative reviews. One user criticized the lack of a double lining, stating, "For $75 this purse absolutely should've been double lined so you can't see the stitching on the outside.."

Taylor Swift's UK Eras Tour security costs rose to over $1M amid special demands
Taylor Swift, known for her Eras Tour, has sparked financial controversy following her recent concerts in London. According to Radar Online, the Metropolitan Police allegedly spent over $1 million on security for Swift's sold-out shows.
The extensive security measures were implemented after a bomb threat at a previous concert in Vienna, with costs rising due to special requests from Swift's mother and management team.
The singer's team asked for a police escort with specialist outriders. The policing expenses for her eight sold-out shows increased from $85K per night in June to nearly $126K per night when Swift returned in August.
Furthermore, Swift's mother personally negotiated with government officials, including Sue Gray, a former aide to Keir Starmer, to secure the blue-light escort. Home Secretary Yvette Cooper also got involved, urging the Metropolitan Police to adopt a flexible approach.
These costs have made Swift’s London concerts one of the most expensive events to police in recent years. Notably, the security expenses for Swift's shows stand in stark contrast to those of Harry Styles at Wembley Stadium, whose four-night run cost a total of $277K, averaging about $69K per night.
