Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour' began in Australia on February 16, drawing a record-breaking crowd of 96,000 fans at Melbourne Cricket Ground. However, the event was disrupted when a severely drunk attendee vomited across several seats around 7 pm, just before Swift's performance. Stadium staff took two hours to clean up the mess, causing spectators to miss a significant portion of the show.

Despite the fiasco, Taylor Swift impressed over 90,000 cheering fans with a career-spanning setlist of her biggest hits.  However, some eagle-eyed Swifties noticed entire sections and dozens of seats left mysteriously empty throughout the show. One eyewitness complained about the inconvenience, stating they had to stand in nearby areas for the majority of Swift's show due to the delay in cleaning up the vomit.
