MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: During his monologue on the latest episode of HBO's 'Real Time' on February 17, Bill Maher brought up Taylor Swift's influence, humorously quipping that she "won the Super Bowl."

He then delved into why he believes conservatives harbor such animosity towards her.

Bill Maher jests that Taylor Swift 'won' the Super Bowl with halftime performance

According to Maher, "It was a tough week for America." He jokingly remarked, "I mean, it started out good. I'm sure you all heard that Taylor Swift won the Super Bowl, which drives MAGA Nation crazy because the one thing they cannot stand is a blonde billionaire with a cult following."

After mentioning Swift, Maher shifted to a more serious topic—the tragic mass shooting during the Kansas City Chiefs' victory parade. However, his commentary took a disappointing turn when he made a transphobic joke, which is not worth further citation.

From there, Maher transitioned to discussing Donald Trump, remarking, "Trump is running around the country trying to balance his busy schedule, you know. He's running in all the primaries, and he's got four trials going."

Maher amusingly commented, jesting, "Today he had to do his makeup in the car."

Turning to Trump's impending criminal trial, particularly the case involving hush money paid to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, Maher cleverly quipped, "Only Trump could pay hush money to someone who was too embarrassed to talk about it to begin with."

Maher's remark highlighted the paradox of Trump's actions and offered a comical take on the intricacies of his legal troubles.

Maher criticizes Trump for delaying the trial for his involvement in Capitol riot

Maher then expressed his frustration that as of 2024, Trump still hadn't faced trial for his involvement in the Capitol insurrection of January 6, 2021.

"I don't know where all the time went. We've had plenty of opportunities to address this. But Trump's strategy is to stall and delay, to try to wriggle out of it," Maher remarked, highlighting Trump's penchant for procrastination.

In a tongue-in-cheek reference to Trump's marital life, Maher quipped, "Same tactic Melania uses in the bedroom."

Maher continued his critique, mentioning Trump's exploitation of Valentine's Day for political messaging.

"He used Valentine’s Day-Trump did this year. Just to give a message to his wife in a fundraising letter. And he said, ‘Melania, love you because even after all the indictments, all the arrests and the witch hunt, you never left my side"', he said.

"Check your side, because I never see her there," Maher quipped, alluding to Melania Trump's noticeable absence from public appearances alongside her husband in recent times.

People were all in praise of Maher's monologue, with one person saying, "I love the monologues from Bill".
