Jon Bon Jovi, during a Television Critics Association panel for his new Hulu docuseries, 'Thank You, Goodnight', humorously reflected on his evolving music over four decades as a singer-songwriter.

The 61-year-old singer joked about how his songwriting has diversified over the years with life experiences, including heartbreak that he didn't experience in his youth.

"That’s been the magic of 40 years of career. At 20, when I got a record deal, I didn’t have a lot else to write about except high school," he said.

He then humorously referenced Taylor Swift's penchant for writing songs about her relationships, saying, "And I didn’t break up with people like Taylor [Swift] did," eliciting laughter from the audience.

This jest alludes to Swift's reputation for drawing inspiration from her personal life for her songs, a notion that has become a running joke among her fans.
