‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ director hopes fans are not disappointed by Taylor Swift's absence
Shawn Levy is finally addressing the elephant in the room. The 'Deadpool and Wolverine' director is hoping that fans are not disappointed that Taylor Swift did not appear in the film. As trailers of the film dropped before its worldwide release on July 26, there were speculations that Swift might appear in a cameo as Ali Blaire, aka Dazzler, in the film, but she didn't.
During a recent Entertainment Weekly casting speculation, Levy shared, “It was so very loud,” before adding, “I definitely had moments where I was worried I would disappoint people when they realized Taylor as Dazzler was not in the movie, but there’s no controlling the internet and rumors spread like wildfire.”
He clarified, “It was never a conversation. It was never even a seed of a discussion. Obviously, Ryan and Blake, and myself, to a far lesser extent, have our own relationships in real life with Taylor. But, yeah, those rumors were loud and slightly baffling, but nothing I said or did was going to make them quiet down until this movie came out.”

Taylor Swift teamed up with Swifties during the final concert in Warsaw, Poland on Saturday, August 3. In a video shared on social media, it can be seen that the pop star sang 'Exile' with her fans.
As Bon Iver singer Justin Vernon was not in attendance, the sold-out audience lent their voices to sing back-and-forth with Swift. In the fan captured video, it can be seen that the crowd started screaming as she started 'Exile' and started singing the lyrics to Vernon's first verse.
Taylor Swift praises 'Three American Stars' in new video
Taylor Swift has turned into a cheerleader for Team USA's three star athletes - Simone Biles, Sha’Carri Richardson and Katie Ledecky, who have all won medals at the Olympics games this year. During a promotional video, Swift lent her voice to hype up the athletes, saying, “Never be afraid to show them who you are, especially when the whole world is watching,” before adding, “Because there is no one way to be the best. No one way to inspire everyone else who will someday follow.”
“You do what you love. You love what you do,” Swift continued with a lyric from her song, 'Style', saying, “We never go out of style.” She celerated their wins and continued to narrate, “You believe in your style, whatever it is.”
“Katie, Sha’Carri and Simone,” Swift said, before concluding, “Three American stars. Three different visions of greatness. Tonight, in Paris."
Fans think Taylor Swift subtly shaded Kanye West during Warsaw show
Swifties believe Taylor Swift subtly threw a shade at Kanye West after the rapper referred to her and her beau Travis Kelce in his new album with Ty Dolla $ign, 'Vultures 2'. Though West, currently known as Ye, did not mention Swift's name personally, Lil Wayne name-checked her in the song 'Lifestyle (Demo).' He sang, “I twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce."
While Swift did not say anything, the pop star wore a peculiar costume for her first Eras Tour show after the track’s release. For her 'Red' set, she wore a T-shirt with the caption reading, “I Bet You Think About Me.” Naturally, Swifties started speculating that Swift had clapped back at the 'Donda' rapper amid their decades old feud.
