LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Taylor Swift reportedly gave a crew member access to her private jet and $100,000 after his wife experienced a medical emergency while the singer was touring in Asia.

The story was shared by a fan account, which claimed Swift also assured the worker that his job would remain available when he was ready to return. Fans praised the reported gesture as another example of Swift's support for the people working around her.

The gesture comes in line with Swift’s history of showing appreciation toward her employees. Over the past two years, the singer gave out $197 million in bonuses to everyone working on her Eras Tour.

This included truck drivers, caterers, instrument technicians, merchandise teams, lighting and sound crews, production staff, assistants, carpenters, dancers, band members, security, choreographers, pyrotechnics, riggers, hair and makeup teams, wardrobe staff, physical therapists and video teams.

In August 2023, as Swift wrapped the first North American leg of the tour, PEOPLE confirmed that she had given out more than $55 million in bonuses. After the tour ended, her truck drivers reportedly received bonuses worth $100,000, while bonuses were distributed across the wider touring team.

Swift also discussed the importance of "bonus day" in her six-part docuseries documenting the Eras Tour. "A bonus day is so important, because setting a precedent with the Eras Tour is really important to me -- because people who work on the road, if the tour grosses more, they get more of a bonus. These people just work so hard, and they are the best at what they do," she said.

After her 149th and final show in Vancouver on December 8, 2024, Taylor Swift Touring confirmed to the New York Times that 10,168,008 people attended the Eras Tour and that it generated $2,077,618,725 in ticket sales. The tour became the bestselling tour of all time, with double the gross ticket sales of any other concert tour in history.

Taylor Swift's reported history of helping fans

Swift is also known for her philanthropic efforts and for helping fans with bills and medical expenses. In 2019, Swift reportedly transferred $4,800 to a University of Waterloo student in Toronto who was struggling with student-loan debt.

The student had previously shared her financial difficulties online and later described her surprise during an appearance on 'Good Morning America.' That same year, Swift reportedly donated around $10,000 toward the medical bills of Trinity Foster, who had been diagnosed with stage four osteosarcoma and had shared a fundraising page to help cover treatment costs.

In 2018, Swift also reportedly paid $15,500 toward medical expenses for a fan whose mother was in a coma and whose family was struggling financially. The donation was signed, "Love, Taylor, Meredith, and Olivia Swift.”

Swift's acts of kindness have often become public only after recipients share their experiences or news outlets report them. Around Christmas last year, Swift and Travis Kelce also interacted with staff at Arrowhead Stadium after a Kansas City Chiefs game and reportedly gave the employees tips worth $600.

Ahead of their wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3, 2026, Swift and Kelce reportedly made a staggering $26 million donation to various organizations.
