NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Taylor Swift turned heads on Wednesday, December 10, when she appeared on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' in a striking burgundy velvet minidress.

The 35-year-old superstar wore a $1,695 David Koma design featuring a Bardot neckline and off-the-shoulder wing-like sleeves. She paired the look with a sparkling necklace and matching dark red pointed-toe heels. Her blonde hair was styled in a sleek updo, and she completed the look with a bold, dark red lip and sharp cat-eye liner.

The singer is currently promoting her two upcoming Disney+ releases, 'The End of an Era' docuseries and 'The Eras Tour Final Show'.

Taylor Swift says nothing stops the show

During the interview, Swift explained her ironclad rule for the Eras Tour.

“I make a decision at the beginning of the tour that there is no option to not go on stage. That’s not an option. Even if you have the stomach flu, which I had multiple times during the tour, my goal was to never let them know you have the stomach flu," she said.

“I think it’s also about knowing that there is something bigger than you. And for me, on that tour, the bigger thing was these people have saved up their money, they have rearranged their schedules, they have arranged transportation, they’ve had parties, they have created costumes, they’ve made friendship bracelets. I’m doing the show!” the pop superstar added.

Taylor Swift's post-concert routine

Colbert asked how Swift unwinds after performing.

“After the show, you know that kind of feeling where you are just sort of like a flickering light bulb, like that just happens. It’s crazy that these people are being so nice and wonderful, and that’s hard to go to sleep after," she said. “So I will go back to the hotel, you know, get out of the costume. Into the bath immediately, into the bath, mermaid time. And then I get the most amount of room service possible.”

Colbert asked if French fries are involved. “Yes, everything, everything I want on that given night. I’m just like I need to power up for the three and a half hour show. It’s the best," Swift replied. She also revealed she signs “like two thousand CDs” after each performance.

Colbert asked about the contrast between her stage persona and private life.

“I’ve got like an old Victorian nightgown on. I prefer to look like, if you see me in the window, I’d like for someone to think they saw a ghost," she quipped. “I think at home, I don’t want any paraphernalia. I don’t want any plaques or a studio. I don’t want there to be any evidence that a music person lives here, except for like my piano and guitar, but the guitar is not hung in a prominent place. I like it to feel very cozy at home, and if I’m going to the studio, I will go to the studio.”

Before changing into her interview outfit, Swift arrived at the studio in a more relaxed ensemble that featured a $2,583 Olga coat by Max Mara, a $1,890 plaid skirt by Miu Miu, $2,195 Christian Louboutin Jane boots, and $8,500 Etiq pear-shaped diamond drop earrings.

Stephen Colbert and Taylor Swift dance to 'Hey Stephen' backstage

Ahead of the show, Colbert posted a backstage video of the pair swaying to Swift’s 2008 song “Hey Stephen.” The pop star mouthed the opening line, “Hey Stephen,” while waving at the host.

Colbert also replayed an old clip where he praised Swift’s kindness to his daughter. “I’ll love Taylor Swift till the day I die, and I’ll follow her into battle. I would jump off a cliff into a pit of spikes for that woman, for how nice she was to my daughter. And you got to remember that," he said.

Both 'The End of an Era' docuseries and 'The Eras Tour Final Show' begin streaming on Disney+ on December 12.
